Another shitty day, Hange sighs. Life has become so boring. Just files and meetings, nothing exciting in life. Wake up at 7, reach office till 9, and then bore your head in files, then come home at 8, this cycle repeats till infinity.

She opens the door of her apartment. Her apartment was not that big but still it was comfy for her. There were two rooms, ome was her bedroom and the other one was study. She never felt the need to buy a bigger house as she lived alone. Even tried dating sometimes but she was never serious. She was doing fine earning a good amount of money, had few friends and life was going normal. But this was what she thought. She was not prepared for what was coming. Nobody knows her past, she never told anyone, not even her mother.

She came from shower and stood in the balcony for some fresh air. Darkness has conquered over light, just like her life. She looked over the citylights. Even though the real darkness was hidden underneath the fake lights, she could still see that. She closes her eyes. And then she heard a familiar voice in her head

But she still regrets her choice. It still haunts her, she still is not able to sleep at night. She would wake up cold and sweating in midnight dreaming about the same day. The day which changed her life forever. The day she regrets the most. But she cannot change it, no one can change, she lost everything thing that day because she made the wrong decision.

Then a loud knock came on her door. She checked the time it was 11pm. She eyed suspiciously who is it, no one comes at this hour.

She carefully open the door just then she saw two figures. She can recognise those two from mile away and they were standing on her doorstep. Her past which she though she left has not left her. Hange's eyes widen as the sudden wave of memory came back. Few seconds later, she came back to senses.

"What the hell you two want" Hange asked. She wanted to sound as cold as possible

"can we come inside please" the girl said

Hange nodded. They both entered her house. And looked around.

"wow captain Hange you have a cute house" Petra squealed

"Don't call me captain , I am not that anymore and tell me why you two are here" hange said

"Hange san we need your help" Moblit said

"But i don't want to" Hange said coldly

" Please captain we need your help"

"but why? you two are intelligent enough" hange said

"but not as you and-" Moblit didn't continue

"please captain" petra pleaded

"You two have disappointed me, you were handpicked by us, and you still need my help" Hange said

"captain, we are not good as you, we need your help in this case, please" Petra said

"Fine. Tell me about it" Hange gave up. She mentally cursed herself, why did she agreed? She knows she cannot say no to them. Never. She doesn't want to go back to those days and helping these two means going back to that past. She never said this but she really missed them and her work. It was her fault also she left everything abruptly. But what could she have done she was completely shattered. Everything was her fault. Everything...
