Meeting an old friend

They went to Nanaba's coffee shop. Just like the old times.
She opened the door of the cafe. She saw Nanaba yelling at her employees to work faster.
"Not a nice way to talk to them Banana" hange said
Nanaba turned towards her.Her eyes widened she couldn't believe that hange was leaning towards the door in her uniform. She ran towards her and tackled her in hug. Nanaba started crying.
"Please tell me this is not a dream" Nanaba said
"No nana I'm here" hange said as she patted her head.
"Why did you left without telling anyone" Nanaba said
"But I left a note"
"Yes, a note with your gun and uniform, do you know how much I was worried? Everyone was." Nanaba scolded
"Sorry"
"You could have atleast called me that you're still alive" nanaba said
"I said sorry"
"I will forgive you only when you promise me not to leave again like this" nanaba said
"I promise"
"Good"

Nanaba made her the special coffee, which she always used to make for hange. It was her favourite.
Hange placed herself at the table. It was her table, as she used to claim, nobody sat there. There was something about this table it made her comfortable.
Nanaba came back gave her the coffee and sat next to her,
"Don't you have work" Hange said
"I have one of them to look after the counter" nanaba said " so tell me about where have you been all this time?"
"I was in Trost working as a manager"
"Must have been boring" nana said
"Yeah it was."
"So you joined back" nanaba asked.
"Yes"
"But why" nana asked she thought she will never go back there
"Levi is alive" hange said
"What" nana yelled loudly. All the other customers were now looking at her "sorry"
"But how"
Hange told her everything
"Why didn' he contacted you" nana asked
"I don't know maybe he is in danger or maybe forgot about me" hange mumbled
Nana looked at her. There was no way levi would leave hange behind. He was in love with her. He must be in danger that he hadn't contacted her.
"Hey tell me about the case"
She told her about the case. But obviously didn't revealed everything. Few things were confidential.
"Hange I have something for you"
"What is it?" She asked
"Remember your anonymous Romeo, who left letters for you every week. He left another one on the day that accident happened" nanaba said
"Uhhhh this was another mystery I wasn't able to solve who was this guy who wrote love letters" hange growled.
"Maybe you aren't the only genius" nana said smirking. She knew who was this person. Even moblit and petra knew but she was so godamn dense.
"But even Levi was not able to find him." Hange said.
Nanaba tried to hide her laughter. Her bestie was way too genius or way too dumb. This time the latter was correct
"Enough of this, come to home hange we'll have dinner there." Nana said

After this they went to their home. She recalled all the good times here.
They went inside and Nanaba cooked dinner for them.
"Hey Nana have our overfriendly nieghbour left finally?" Hange asked
"Oh you mean Zeke. Yeah he left for another country got a new job" nanaba said
Hange sighed. This Zeke used to piss her off. At start it was nice. He would greet her nicely but then it started annoying her. He was very clingy.
"Oh here is your letter" Nanaba said
Hange read that letter. There was a romantic poem. But the tone of the poem was sad. As if he knew that something bad was going to happen.
"Hange, if someone would have written me such letters i would have fallen in love with them"
Hange scoffed. "Well I would term this as stalking. I mean in every letter he knew where I was going or what had happened"
"Whatever you say" nanaba said.
"Was this the last letter?" Hange asked
"Yes"
Hange began to think that how did this guy knew so much about her.
The date this letter was written was 21 October 2016. The day that happened.
She went to her room which she was surprised to see was clean.
"I knew you were going to return someday. So i just wanted to be prepared" nanaba said
Hange hugged her frined
"Sleep well hange" nanaba said and left the room
Hange lay down on the bed, close her eyes. She saw the same thing she has been seeing for years.

"We have got information that there will be a drug deal between Traute and some other gang." Hange said
"Where" levi asked.
"It's an under construction building near the highway" hange said
"Let's go four eyes" levi said

The duo reached that place.
"This building is quite big we have to split" hange said
"But hange this is dangerous it would be safe if we stick together" levi said
"If we won't split then there are high chances that we will miss our target" hange said
Levi sighed
"Fine four eyes. Just be safe" levi said
Hange nodded.
They went separate ways. Hange went to the right side and Levi went towards the left.
"Hange I can hear some noise this side" levi whispered in the ear piece.
"Be careful Levi I am coming there " hange replied
When Levi took few steps forwards. He saw that there was a chair on which was tape kept. The voice was coming from it
"Shit hange don't come here, it's a trap" levi yelled
"Levi get of there quickly" hange yelled
Levi started to run but then suddenly the dynamite exploaded. The building collapsed.
Everything went black.

Hange shot up from her sleep. Sweating and shivering. Only if she had listened to him that day. He still would have been with her or maybe she would have died with him.She went towards the window to take some fresh air. She saw the stars. They always reminded her of the good times. She smiled looking at them "I will find you Levi" she said
