Birthday

It had been a week but still no progress.

Hange, Erwin, Nanaba, Moblit and Petra were in the coffee shop, discussing about the case. When suddenly Nanaba said

"Hey it's Hange's birthday this sunday" nana said

"Let's have a party" moblit said.

"But what about this case" hange said

"You should take a day off hange maybe some rest will help"

"Fine."

They all squealed. Hange missed this. She never celebrated her birthday in those 4 years. It always reminded her of that day

It's 5th september 2014, hange's birthday. She is turning 25 this year.

Her mom was the first one to wish her. Then Nanaba

They had a party at hange's place. Everyone came.

Erwin, Levi, Moblit, Petra, Zeke, Mike and few more. That was her best birthday. They had so much fun.

Nanaba was wasted. Moblit was drunk and petra was also getting drunk. Erwin decided to take those two home. He left. Levi remained there and helped her clean the mess.

They stood in the balcony looking at the stars. The moon was beautiful today. For Levi, hange was looking even more beautiful.

As she was looking at the stars. He slipped his hand in hers. Her hands were warm. She looked at him and smiled. This made his heart flutter he tried to hide his blush.

"Hey hange, here is your gift" levi said and gave her a box neatly covered in gift wrapper.

"Thanks Levi"

"You can open it right now" levi said

"Really"

"Yes four eyes"

She opened the box and saw the dress she always wanted to buy. Tears forming in her eyes. She hugged him.

"Thanks Levi but how did you knew?"

"Oh come on, it was easy to find you drooling in that shop over this dress"

"But this was very expensive "

"I know, and i also know that you send a large portion of your salary to your parents. So I just thought I should gift this to you. You are my family." Levi said. He said the last part softly so that she can't hear him.

They stayed in each others arms. He wanted to hold her as close as possible. Never wanting to let go.

"Levi, do you know how stars are formed?" Hange asked

"No"

"Stars are formed from the accumulation of gas and dust, which collapses due to gravity and starts to form stars" she rambled about each stage of star formation

Levi interrupted her " hange there is cake on your lips"

She tried to wipe it with the back of her hand

"Is it gone now?" She asked

"No,let me wipe it" levi said.

He grabbed her back of her head and placed his lips on hers. Her lips were soft, just as he thought. Tasted like strawberry. The kiss was slow. He doesn't know for how long he was waiting for this moment, how much he wanted to taste her. He wanted to be with her forever and maybe this was the moment he wanted. He was getting jealous at the party when he saw that monkey coming near her. He never liked men coming near her. He tried to keep her away from them. She was his. Only his.

Hange was shocked. HE WAS KISSING HER. Her heart was racing a mile per second. Her brain was not working properly. She doesn't know what is she feeling right now. His closeness was making her dizzy. She was feeling sleepy.

Then he broke apart. Catching their breath. His cheeks were dusted with pink. He looked up to her he saw her face was red.

He smiled. Maybe for the first time.

Then suddenly hange fell on his shoulder. And he heard her snores. He chuckled and played with her hairs for sometime, holding her in his arms. After a while he took her to her bed and gently laid her down. Carefully removing her glasses and keeping them at nightstand.

He placed a small kiss on her forehead and mumbled "happy birthday Hange"

He took a last glance at her and left.

She woke up the next morning recalling about last night.

She thought that it must be a dream. Why would levi kiss her anyway?

"Hey hange, you are spacing out" Nanaba said

"Oh sorry"

"So as I was saying that we need to find more about the connection between Kenny and the royal family." Erwin continued.

"Hmm... i know a man who could help us" hange said

"Who?"

"Mike"

"Don't tell me you are going to do something illegal" Nanaba said. She knew that Mike was a criminal. And taking help from him could be dangerous.

"But we need his help he might tell us something about this, and besides it's not the first time I am doing this"

"What do you mean"

"How do you think me and levi became the best duo, we had to take help from them, and trust me Mike is a reliable man." Hange said

"Boss do you know about this" Moblit asked Erwin

"Yes though it was never officially written in any reports"

"Well if we wrote everything in the reports then maybe we could have gotten fired or maybe arrested" hange said smirking. She loved this job full of adventure.

"Why did you approve this?" Petra asked

"Do you think that they even asked for my permission? And I don't care as far as they don't cause any trouble" erwin said

"So I think I have to meet mike again." Hange said

"Ok.. but first we should prepare for your birthday " nanaba said

"Fine"
