Chapter 20 - Daydreaming

Liam POV

I walked out of class and while waiting for Aaron I felt someone push me from behind.
"Watch where you're going," I said and of course, it's one of the airhead brothers. As I look at him he seems to be out of it like his mind wasn't here.
"No, you watch where you're going, fool," Nathan replied after a few seconds.
"You bumped into me first blockhead," I responded while pushing him.
Then he pushed me back, now I was getting angry. I was about to punch him when Dethan caught my hand.
"He's not worth it, Liam," Dethan whispered in my ear and somehow calmed me down instantly.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Dethan asked Nathan when he realized I had cooled down.
"What the hell is wrong with him? He has been ruining my life ever since he got here." He yelled while pointing at me then stormed away.
What is he talking about I didn't even do anything to him. Now I was confused as hell.
"Ignore him he's just been going through it lately. Ethan and I will go find him. See you around" Dethan smiled.
"Okay, bye." I smiled back as they walked away in the direction Nathan went in.
"What was that all about" Aaron asked as he caught up to me..
"I don't even know myself. He bumped into me, then he had this strange look on his face like he was confused about something, and all of a sudden he got angry," I explained to him.
"That's weird"
"It is. Let's just go to lunch" I told him.
We continued our way to the cafeteria. I need to hurry because I'm starving right now. When we got inside I walked straight over to the line while Aaron went with the others. What should I get today? Shepard's Pie or Mac n cheese? I think I'll get the Mac and cheese.

"What happened with you and Nathan" Mya asked before I could even take a seat.
"Aaron said y'all almost fought" Tanya added on.
"He pushed me for no reason and didn't even say sorry. So I pushed him back, then it escalated from there," I answered, now back to my food.
They continued with their conversations, and I did the same with my lunch. After a few minutes, I was done. I started to listen to what they were talking about. It seemed like birthdays and mates.
"When is your 18th birthday Liam" Mya asked
"Next month what about y'all"
"Well, Aaron, Mya, and I are 18," Tanya answered.
"Kasper and I are in 2 weeks" Levi commented.
"I'm in 3 weeks," says Vic.
"So you're the baby of the group how sweet. Not" Mya said.
"Very funny heifer so where your mate at? Oh, okay," I responded then everyone gasped.
"He's coming. Just wait and see," she smirked.
They resumed their convo while I just listened and talked sometimes in between. Mya, Vic, and I said goodbye to the others, then strolled along to class. We were about to walk past Dethan and Ethan when Dethan grabbed my hand. I swear I felt a shock must just be the grip.
"Please don't provoke him in class. He's not right in the head at the moment." Dethan begged. I was confused at first but realized he was talking about Nathan.
"Okay no problem"
"What you looking at, grumps?" I uttered to Ethan.
"Dethan, can we just go? I'm tired of him"
"Bye, see you around," he winked, then went in the next direction with his brother.
I looked around for Mya & Vic and couldn't find them. They must have gone to class and left me here. I got to class and saw those two sitting like nothing happened.
"You bitches left me. What if they were planning to tag-team me? I thought we were a sisterhood?" I whispered and they both laughed.
"Why are you whispering? Plus, we already know how you and the triplet's conversation gets, so we exited ourselves." Mya stated.
"Yeah, we couldn't be caught in the crossfire," Vic added.
"Y'all are so dramatic."
"Says the Drama King." Mya chuckled, and Vic did the same.
"Let me go to my seat before I end you both"
I walked over to the case study and sat down. I took out my Werewolf Nostalgia book.
"Did you bring the research paper?" So now he wants to speak to me softly I thought I ruined his life.
"Yes, it wasn't like you were going to do it," I commented. Then I looked at him and saw he was getting angry. I need to remember what Dethan said: "Don't provoke him". But it's so hard to not be sarcastic.
The bell rings, and in walks Mr Moon with his sexy self. I can't help it I'm sorry.
"Good Afternoon, Class. I hope everyone has finished their group paper. I will collect them after class. So, on to pressing matters, Today, we will be learning 'The Werewolf Pack Hierarchy/Ranking.' So take out your books and let's begin."
We listen to him teach while still taking notes on the topic. After a few minutes, he started to write on the board. As we're writing, I take a glance at the one beside me and see he was just daydreaming. Why is he so out of focus? Should I snap him out of it or leave him with his thoughts? I'm going to snap him out.
"Nathan... Nathan" Mr Moon tried to snap him out. At least I wouldn't have to do it.
"Yeah" he responded
"Is everything alright"
"Yes, I'm fine. I was just daydreaming," Nathan assured him as Mr Moon went back to the front of the class.
"How long was I out for?" He asked as he turned to me.
"For 10-15 minutes, I think," I replied while still writing the notes off the board.
There goes the bell for the next period. Two more classes, then I'm out of this place for the day. I said goodbye to Mya and Vic, handed in the research paper, and then was on my way to Maths, which was up the stairs again. Levi, Kasper, and Tanya were there already. Do I walk slowly, or do they just walk fast?
"Can I sit with y'all" I pouted.
"No you have to go back there with your friend," Levi said with a sarcastic sad face.
"The friend that has had his eyes on you since you walked in the door" Tanya stated out of the blue.
"Huh? Ethan?" I asked, confused, while she just shook her head yes.
"Very funny Tanya I'm going to my seat"
"Have fun" she winked at me.
Why would his eyes be on me? Maybe he wants to kill me and is watching my every move. Yes, that has to be it. I got to my seat and waited until Mr Johnson came.
"Why are you and your brother acting so weird, like y'all are in a different universe?" I just had to ask.
"Can you just mind your business we're fine"
"You know what? You're right. I'm going to just mind my business," I stated as I rolled my eyes. Why am I even concerned for the assholes anyway.
Mr Johnson came into the class and waited on the bell.
"Okay, class, let's talk Trigonometry," he said excitedly while everyone sighed.
I smiled because I love Trigonometry.
