VALERIE'S POV:"Oh Valerie?"
I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want? I asked while continuing to pick up dresses, throwing the ones that I didn't like onto the pile that I'd created over time.
Dasani giggled and leaned onto my vanity. She crossed one leg over the other as she twirled a piece of her blonde hair.
"What're you getting so dressed up for?" she disregarded my question with one of her own.
"Your funeral." I stated, not looking over at her for a reaction.
She scoffed.
"Whatever. Anyways, how's the famous Valentina? I peeped your conversation earlier at school."
I huffed and exited my closet so that I was now in front of the annoying brat, "Get the fuck out."
The corners of her lips quirked up into a grin.
"I've hit a nerve haven't I? Don't tell me that you've actually started to-"
"Girls?!"
My room door bursted open and in walked my mom.
Where the fuck is my privacy?
She was wearing her business attire which made me assume that she was going to work. Her dark brown hair was curled and thrown over her shoulders exposing slight cleavage from the half buttoned up shirt that she wore. She paired the white blouse with a black pencil skirt that just barely touched her knees. Everything was topped off with a pair of five inch heels making her seem taller than before.
She turned up her nose to show her disgust, "Ugh, V what have I told you about keeping your room clean?"
"I'll clean it when I'm done, just as I always do." I mumbled the last part to myself while glaring at the smirking blonde at my side.
My mom dramatically gagged and stepped over the pile of dresses before walking to me with a smile on her red coated lips.
"I'm off to another meeting."
I laughed, "Nothing new."
She frowned at me.
"Now V, you know how busy of a woman I am."
Her freshly manicured hand reached up to softly stroke my cheek. She tucked a few pieces of free hair behind my ears and softly smiled.
I groaned at her and shoved her hand away from my face.
Her smile faltered once again, but she quickly fixed it and showcased her perfect set of teeth, "I should be going."
I hummed and reverted my gaze down to the rug that lie underneath my sock covered feet.
"I love you both." she whispered while backing out of my room, kicking some of the clothing out of her path.
"I love you too!" Dasani cheerfully chirped.
Instead of answering I turned around and picked up my phone from my bed.
A few seconds later my door was shut back to its original position and the faint sound of heels hitting the floors were heard.
"You don't have to be such a bitch to her." Dasani rolled her eyes at me.
I sent a message to Valentina before looking up at her, "Why are you here again?"

THUD
I looked up from my book and furrowed my eyebrows.
THUD
I flinched and looked over to my window where the sound was coming from. I uncrossed my feet from their current position and advanced over to the window. I peeked through my curtain, not seeing anything.
I was going to back away from it when someone's head popped up and into the window causing me to screech and trip over my own two feet.
I groaned from my position on the floor and looked up only to be met with Valentina.
Her wavy dark hair was put up into a ponytail — some loose strands falling loose around her face, shaping it. Those grey eyes of hers had an unusual glow to them because of the moonlight. She held a familiar teasing smirk on her mouth before it changed to a smile at my clumsiness.
"Seriously?!"
The brunette laughed, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
I glared at her before standing back up and straightening my clothes.
"What're you doing here?"
As if she had remembered something, her laughing stopped and she looked at me, "Why'd you bail on me?"
I bit my lip and sighed.
"I just wasn't feeling up to it anymore." I answered truthfully.
"Is there a certain reason why? Did anyone hurt you?" she seemed to become concerned as a frown appeared on her features.
I shook my head and softly smiled at how cute she looked, "Is the Valentina showing care for me? I didn't know you had it in you, Sinclair. "
Her frown deepened.
I laughed, "Nobody hurt me. My sister just turned my mood sour."
She hummed and returned back to the expression that she held just a few seconds prior.
"Well in that case. . . give me your hand."
"I— what now?" I stumbled over my words while trying to process her words.
"We are gonna go on that date that I worked so hard to plan." she dramatically responded.
I rolled my eyes at her for being exaggerative and thought on her request for a bit.
I was enjoying my read of Deathly Hollows (Harry Potter), but it wouldn't hurt to come back to it since I've already watched the movie and read the book more than enough times.
A night out with this dork wouldn't be the worse thing ever.
"Fine. Just let me grab a pair of cloth—"
"There's no need. We aren't doing anything fancy."
When those couple of sentences left her lips I realized what she was wearing. She wore a graphic tee and paired it with black sweatpants.
After taking in her appearance I moved on to my own which was a plain Harry Potter hoodie with biker shorts.
Eh.
"You better not be setting me up." I pointed a scolding finger at the brunette who chuckled.
"You have my word, love. Now hurry up and take my hand before this branch breaks." she peeked behind her while speaking.
I hurriedly slid on a pair of white Air Forces before sitting my hand into hers, looping our fingers together before she helped me get out of the room.
Once we were both sitting in the tree Valentina helped me close my window in a way to which I could still get in before she once again helped me by carefully guiding me down the tree.
When I was safely down on the green grass she jumped from the last branch and walked in front of me as for I had no idea where we were headed.
"What are we going to do?" I voiced out my thoughts.
She turned around to face me and smirked, "We're going to go make memories."
