VALERIE'S POV:Valentina laughed loudly with the transparent baggie snuggled safely in her arms.
"That's so not funny." I gagged again and wiped my mouth.
"How can you not like cotton candy?" she asked before digging her hand into the medium sized bag and stuffing her face with the cloud of sweetness.
She immediately went into a fit of coughing before attempting to spit out the solid that had already melted the moment it touched her tongue.
"Oh my god that's horrible." she complained while wiping at her tongue which had turned blue from the cotton candy.
I laughed as a look of disappointment took over her sharp features.
After leaving my home Valentina had driven us to a nearby store to pick up cotton candy because the dark haired girl claimed that she was craving it.
She loves cotton candy.
I hate cotton candy.
When the jet black haired girl had found out that information she sought to prove me wrong, so she bought two bags of cotton candy.
One for me and one for her.
Now here we were in the parking lot of an arcade sitting on the hood of her car eating and spitting out remains of the store bought candy.
Valentina groaned after rinsing her mouth out with a bottle of water which she picked up when we were inside.
"That's obviously fake." she shrugged and kicked both bags of cotton candy onto the concreted ground. Because of our destination, I was sure that many insects would be crawling around and into the bag in no time.
"Sure it was." I unconvincingly said while squinting my eyes at her. It was dark out, so the few lights that were turned on messed with my eyes.
"Yeah yeah." she waved her hand in my face and hopped off of the car.
After the pair of high top converse hit the concreted ground she helped me down from the car — something that she'd been doing a lot tonight.
I shifted my gaze upwards at the lit up neon sign that read, Allstate Arcade on top of the building.
"I sure do hope you're good at games." Valentina blew out a breath.
"Meh, it depends. Which genre are we speaking?" I looked over at her as I responded to her statement.
She rolled her eyes and intertwined her fingers with mine; dragging me in the direction of the active arcade.

"That's cheating." I deadpanned.
Valentina acted as if she hadn't heard my words and continued to punch the multiple clown figures from their standing position.
A ball was supposed to be thrown at the figures, but when the taller girl complained that they were to small to control she insisted on using her fists.
DING! DING! DING!
I looked up and spotted Valentina smiling successfully. Another sound came from the machine before hundreds of tickets poured from the small opening.
"You are such a child." I muttered underneath my breath while picking up the pieces of paper.
She laughed and stuffed her hands in her pockets.
"I just singlehandedly won you thousands of tickets and this is how you thank me?" she asked, putting emphasis on the word singlehandedly referring to the punches she threw at the clowns.
