The New Kid on the Block

A/N: A sister?! Can y'all believe it? Who's ready to meet Kara Cipriano?! I know I am!

Patch's POV:

I stared at the girl who claimed to be my daughter. But Nora wasn't pregnant. We tried for years after Emma was born and we couldn't conceive again. Ariel was sure that we couldn't again. I looked at her, "who are you really? We were told we couldn't have another baby. We tried for years."

Kara smiled at me, "Dad, you named me Kara, which means dearly beloved in Italian. A nod towards our last name. A name you picked out since mom named Emma."

I looked at Nora who looked at our supposed daughter curiously, "If you're Emma's baby sister, how are you here?"

Kara smiled softly, "I have the power of time travel and healing. Like Emma has powers, I do too. We're both hybrids."

Nora stood up and looked around. "Can someone please do something about the fires and the bodies?" I helped her get her balance, "I'm fine Patch. I'm going to go inside for a bit. I have a very bad headache."

I nodded and watched her go inside. I looked at my two children and then I looked at Scott and Alex, "Scott could you take Alex home please? As you can see we have some family matters to take care of."

Scott nodded, "yeah, I don't mind. I need to get home to Vee and the kids. Call me if they return." I nodded and watched him and Alex leave. Alex glanced over his shoulder watching Emma as he walked away. That's something we need to discuss later.

Kara smiled and rocked back forth from her heels to her toes, "Well, now that I have saved y'all from an impending doom, I should probably go back to my own time. Hopefully that will be the last you see Dante until you get to my time."

I looked at her, "How did you know Dante was going to attack?"

Kara looked dead at me with a pained look, "Mom was pregnant with twins when Dante attacked in my time. Mom lost my twin brother but Ariel was able to save me. I came back to hopefully save him. I only had that one chance to save him so that we could fulfill our own prophecy." I frowned. Why is it my children that must carry the entire world on their shoulders? It wasn't fair.

I nodded and gave her a hug. She squeezed me tightly and whispered, "I missed you. I'm glad I got to see you again." I looked at her confused and she smiled sadly, "don't worry about it Dad, hopefully with my intervention everything will work out the way it's supposed to." She smiled at me.

I looked at her as she unfurled her wings, "Kara?" I grabbed her hand, "how old are you?"

Kara squeezed my hand, "It's hard to explain. But I grew at an alarming rate. I think it's because of me being a twin, or just being a hybrid, but in full earth rotations? Im 8 years old. But my body is 17. To keep up with my body, I had to grow up fast. I can't even explain to you what all happened." I frowned. Kara didn't really get much of a childhood. "Dad? Don't be sad or upset. Everything will work out in the end. Tell everyone I love them." She created a portal and stepped through. Only for another portal to open behind me and she step through. I turned to her.

She frowned and looked around, "is Emma still 14?" I nodded and she cursed, "shit!"

I gave her a look, "hey! Language." She gave me a sly grin combined with an apologetic smile as then she went to pacing, "what happened Kara?"

Kara looked at me, "I didn't make it back to my time. I'm stuck! Dad this has never happened!" I could tell she was one the verge of freaking out, "I don't understand what I did wrong!"

Emma came out running from the house after she had gone inside to check on Nora, "Dad! Something's wrong with mom. She yelled for me to get you."

As soon as she said that I started running to the house, "girls go to Emma's room. We'll talk later!" I raced inside and ran up the stairs, "Angel!!" I ran to our bedroom and saw her holding 5 pregnancy tests. I stepped towards her, "Angel? What's wrong?"

Nora looked at me and smiled a very big smile, "Patch?" She handed me all five tests, "I'm pregnant!"
