A/N: I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter. I know I ended it in a cliffy. And I'm sorry and here is Chapter 3:

Emma's POV:

I stared at my Mom with my jaw wide open. At first I was shocked and then I was furious. They kept this from me my whole life. Granted I should be grateful that my parents attempted to give me a normal life, but still.

Mom leaned forward to place her hand on my knee, but I stood up. I glared at my mother, "YOU KEPT THIS FROM ME!! How could you?! How could you not tell me that I was some freak of nature?! That you and Dad? How could you not tell me about this? Who else in our family is like you or Dad?"

I was seething with anger. I don't know why, but my emotions were on overload. My mom sighed, "Emma-"

I pointed my index finger at her, "Don't you DARE Emma me. Who else in our family is an angel or a Nephilim?"

Mom bowed her head, "Your Aunt Vee and Uncle Scott. Vee is Nephilim. And Scott is a Guardian Angel. He used to be a Nephilim, but that was before the war three years before I was pregnant with you. Emma? Before you go storm off to Alex's, the roof, or the stables; wait for your father. I'm sure he'll want to talk to you about this," I walked to the stairs to go up to my room and calm down and before I could ascend the stairs, Mom called out, "I wasn't always a Nephilim, Emma. I wasn't born like this."

I stepped away from the stairs and entered the living room, "What?"

Mom sniffed, "I was kidnapped. I was helping your Uncle Scott run away from the Black Hand. Both of us were caught. They knocked us out and when I came to, my biological father stood before me with a knife strapped to his waist. He made me swear an oath to become Nephilim. Earlier before that he had his own men wreck us and he performed a blood transfusion on me. He infected me with his own pure Nephilim blood to make me a Nephilim," She paused and then continued, "After I swore the oath, I had to lead his army for when he died. If I failed to lead his army, both my life and my mom's would be ended. I left the warehouse after that and had my mother in tow. On the way back I ran across my biological half-sister, Marcie. I told Marcie to get in my mom's car and I dropped them both off with Vee," Mom smiled a half smile before it turned back into a frown, "Vee wasn't happy. But I left without a word and drove to Delphic Amusement Park where Patch-your father was living at the time. I had a spare key and let myself into your father's home and he was there waiting for me. He knew about the Changeover Vow because Hank told him. I had missed Patch by a matter of minutes. Hank was down in his basement. We had an all clear to kill him from the Archangels, but I didn't want to kill him. I wanted him to suffer. For everything he caused. I didn't want to lead his damn army. But I killed him, because he was about to burn your father's feather and chain him in hell. I shot him and then I was eaten up by guilt. I did lead his army, but it was to peace. I had to watch Scott die as he saved me from Dante. After Dante killed Scott, I possessed Dante's body and I made him kill himself."

I sat there on the couch thinking about the story Mom just told me. My own mother killed two people. But the name, 'Dante' struck a bell. Pepper had said that name earlier when he attempted to kidnap me. And Mom? She was kidnapped and turned into a hybrid.

Where was Dad in the last part of the story? Knowing Dad he would've fought side by side with Mom. I gulped, "Where was Dad?"

Mom started to tear up a little but then blinked back the tears, "The night before the schedule dual between Dante and me, Marcie burned every single fallen angel's feather which chained them all in hell. Your father was among them. I was devastated. I was broken and a lot of other horrible things. Eventually Vee and Scott pulled me out of it and we made it to the dual. All of the Nephilim that were gathered to watch the dual were ambushed by the fallen angels and Dante. Dante was the human embodiment of Devilcraft," At the same time as she said that word, my skin began to crawl and I shook it off, "After I killed Dante using the sword skills your father taught me and with a knife in my shoulder I left Dante's body to decompose itself. I saw a man hunched over a figure and he kicked it away. He was looking for someone and that was when I noticed how the man carried himself. I called his name and his head whipped around and his eyes met my own. I ran to him and he grabbed me in his arms. Eventually we pulled back and I looked into his eyes and saw that they were red and puffy. I knew that he had been crying. It was the only time I really saw him like that. He had been so scared that he had lost me. It was that night that we swore an oath under heaven and Patch got his ability to feel things. He was the only fallen angel who had that gift. He was in fact the only fallen angel really."

I bowed my head. The trauma my parents went through. My mom made the best out of what she had become. She was originally a human being. She was kidnapped and I was a minute or so close to being kidnapped. Wow, my family had quite the history and secrets. My dad is an archangel and my mom is a Nephilim. And me? I was a combination between the two. I was supposedly the strongest creature on the planet. But, I was just me. Of course I learned that I'm a freaking hybrid.

It was at that exact moment that my dad stumbled through the door. He smiled at the two of us and he winced. I looked down at where his hand was and saw that blood was dripping from under his black shirt. I gasped, "Dad!"

Mom noticed it as well and went to his side, "Patch? What happened? That was over thirty minutes!"

Dad laughed, "It was twenty lesser demons and a rogue archangel. What did you expect? I took most of them out. A few received a lot of severe injuries, but other than that the battle went fine." He whispered under his breath about something like teaching me about stuff, but I couldn't quite catch all the words.

Dad winced again, but removed his hand and stood a little straighter, "I'm fine Angel," He told my mom and then turned his attention on me, "Alright, Emma. Obviously the demons are getting edgy and more desperate to get you. You're going to need more training than the self-defense lessons that I gave you. You're going to need to learn how to use your mind as a weapon along with actual weapons. And for now on, I'm taking you to school and picking you up. We aren't taking any chances and I'm not letting you be taken from us. I'm not going through that trauma again. Never again."

My mom snuggled into him and Dad planted a kiss on her head. It was at that moment that I realized that Mom had been kidnapped more than once. And one of the times had been for a long period. And it must've driven Dad crazy. That's why he's overly cautious about the two of us. He doesn't want to lose us.

A/N: And that's a wrap for this chapter. What did you guys think? Emma is about to start training for the war. Yay. Jeeze, I just realized how much pain and trauma I'm about to put their poor daughter through. Oh well. Till the next chapter than.
