Kidnapped Hunters POV

I grip onto my staff as tight as I could, managing to keep myself in the air. Now- WHERE DID THAT THING COME FROM!?

"GOLDEN GUARD!!" I hear (Y/N) call out to me. I turn my head, seeing (Y/N) falling, their staff not to be seen.
"(Y/N)! I'M COMING!" I aim my staff downwards, reaching to grab them. As I do, I try teleportating closer but I just couldn't focus! (Y/N) falls faster than I could dive, soon losing them to the trees.

I pause, eyes wide. I... I need to land.
I look around and spot a clearing nearby. I land in it and sprint towards the spot (Y/N) fell. But... I don't see them. I quickly searched the area.
Behind rocks, inside trees...I don't see them. I panicked, frantically running around the swampy forest, calling out to them as if they could hear me.

I soon had to stop as it got dark... nothing is safe in the darkness.

I make a small campfire, sitting next to it for warmth. How could I have failed? I failed Belos, I failed (Y/N). I just... I just wanted a friend... I only wanted someone my age to... I wanted to protect them- I-.. I-

No...

I can't give up now. I- I can do this!

I get up, "I'll find (Y/N) and get those silk webs!" I cheer to myself, "er... in the morning..." he sat back down. "Not much I can find in ultimate darkness" I mumbled, laying back. I look up at the leaves covering the sky as my eye lids slowly shut...

Screaming woke me up. It's still dark out...

I quickly grab my staff as I ran towards the screaming.  It lasted pretty long...but who ever is screaming, I hope it's (Y/N)..

In the distance I see something fly out a cave. I'll have to look there!

"(Y/N)!?" I call out. "(Y/N)! Are you here!?" I run inside, finding (Y/N) laying on the ground, passed out. I gasp, "(Y/N)!!" I run towards them, "NONONONONONO- (Y/N)!!"

"Hun...ter...?" I hear (Y/N) groan before going silent...

"(Y/N)! (Y/N) don't worry- i... I got you" I carefully wrap my arms around them, lifting them up. (Y/N) looked pale, almost all their color fading. I sighed, sitting down on my staff. I fly out, holding (Y/N). The silk webs can wait...

I take (Y/N) back to the castle, speeding down the hall as I shout, guards leaping out of the way. "GET OUT OF MY WAY! MOVE!" I can't believe I let this happen. (Y/N) could've... I take a deep breath, getting to their room. I lay (Y/N) on their bed as I make a quick call to the healing and potion coven. I just needed help!

Minutes pass by as I pace circles in the room. I heard a knock at the door, quickly opening it, a healer and a potion maker walk in. "There you are! Something got my apprentice and I- I'm scared if they'll be gone forever! Please HEAL THEM-" I demand in a panick.

The two witches looked at eachother and sighed. "Sir, please calm down. What happened?" They walked towards (Y/N).

"We were on a mission and I found them- like this. Thats all you need to know" I hiss at them. I could feel them roll their eyes...

The healer drew green circles in the air, hovering them over (Y/N).

After a quick second, (Y/N) gasped, quickly sitting up before wincing and laying back down. "Ugh my head... what..."
(Y/N) saw the healer and the potion witches. Panicked, they try to draw a circle but... nothing. "My- MY MAGIC- HE TOOK IT- I NEED IT BACK I-"

(Y/N) freaked out but the potion witched stopped them. "I see...a basilisk got you..."

The healer turned to me. "There's not much we can do about missing magic. Keep your apprentice in bed and safe... finding a basilisk will be hard, especially the one that got them. I suggest sending a party out to find the basilisk and slay it. In the meantime, (Y/N) will need some medicine to keep their body up in shape" they sighed. "I'll come back once a week for some physical therapy" the healer and potion witch left...

I stared at the ground... its my fault..
