'Can You Hide From The Hound?'
New Mexico 1873
Lena hid in a secret room backstage. Through a peephole she could see the entire main floor of the Sweet Water Saloon. That was where she is to give Clayton the signal when to fire.
For the most part Clayton would take out the men, but he promised her that he would keep Boone alive so that she could deliver the final blow. She had be practicing enough to where she was now a pretty good shot. She was confident that she would be able to at least wound several men. Hopefully she did not shoot Clayton in the process.
While Lena was in position Clayton hid among the shadows. Much of the gang members were inebriated, which is just what Clayton wanted. Prior to, he had spoke with the saloon owner and he directed him to give the men enough liquor that would inhibit their senses and make it easier for him to round up.
Clayton counted fifteen men as he looked into the crowd, but not one of them was Billy Dan Brooks. Ned was sitting up at the front of the stage with a perky young floozy on his lap. He and Diego were going to be the hardest to kill. However, he needed to find out were Dan was hiding out first.
Clayton walked backstage to speak to one of he dancers. "Barbara?"
Barbara, a woman with black hair and bright green eyes, turned to face him. She smiled and said, "What can I do for you, honey?" She ran her hands up his chest.
He grabbed her wrists and pried them off of him. "There's no time for that, sweetheart. Maybe next time. What I do need is for you to find out from Ned where Dan is. Can you do that for me?"
Barbara seductively smiled. "Of course." She grabbed his groin causing Clayton to grunt. "But this is mine when all this is finished." She winked at him before walking off.
Clayton really did not need an erection at a time such as this, so he did his best to suppress the urges she just brought on. He watched from the shadows near the stage as Barbara whispered into Ned's ear. Hands down Barbara was the best looking out of all the women there, so when she gave her attention to Ned he was all for it. He shoved the other girl off his lap and tugged Barbara down on his knee.
After countless minutes of flirting, Barbara headed back Clayton's way. "The big bad bossman is on his merry was to Kansas." She informed him.
"You've got to be shitin' me." Clayton was aggravated as hell. "How'd you get that information? Are you sure it's accurate?"
She cocked her brow at him. "Honey, are you speakin' gibberish?"
Clayton sighed. "How did you get him to tell you all that? And are you sure it was true?"
"I just asked him where Dan was at ' because I missed him' . He told me that Dan left to Kansas because he was runnin' from someone called The Hound?" She eyed him curiously, "Hey ain't that you, sugar?"
He ignored her question. "Did he mention anything about a heist?" She just stared at him like he had three heads. Not everyone can be both brains and beauty. "Burglary."
"Oh that?" She nodded. "He said that they goin' rob a bank in El Paso and then meet up with Dan in Kansas to give him the gold and such. They had came here to meet him but Dan was afraid The Hound would show up and shoot him dead. . .are you sure that ain't you?"
Billy Dan Brooks was afraid of him and he should be. However, now he was going to have to travel all the way to Kansas. At least now he could get rid of Lena. She would get her revenge on Boone today as promised. Albuquerque was not a bad city to stay in.
