The evening comes and I head back to the same run down bar that I'd been to the previous night. It's late on a Friday, so it gets rather crowded in places like these.

Everyone seems to be washing away their stresses and worries from the week with too much alcohol, but I don't drink, or at least I haven't for the past five years.

My early life hadn't exactly been kind to me, so the last thing I needed was to distract myself with alcoholism like my parents had before me.

I grew up in foster care after my parents gave me up when I was five years old, quite possibly the least selfish thing they ever did, but I never really settled anywhere.

"Hi, can I buy you a drink?" a random man shouts over the music to get my attention.

"Sorry, I'm waiting here for someone".

I could already smell the lager on his breath and it made me want to gag.

He quickly takes the hint and walks away, thankfully. I hated being hit on by creeps that think every girl who goes out wearing a short skirt and a tight top must be up for it.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" another taller, more rugged man asks me.

"Feel free".

"Are you here alone tonight?" I catch him looking down at my chest.

"Maybe, how about you?"

"Maybe'" he smiles.

"That's a really interesting tattoo".

I delicately trace my fingertip along the small black star on his hand just between his thumb and forefinger.

"I was young and drunk on a lads holiday with some college friends when I got it," he laughs.

"At least you had fun though, right?"

"I guess I did. So what brings you here alone tonight?"

"I've got a party to go to, but no one to take me," I sigh.

"And where is this party?"

I flirtatiously wrap my arms around his neck and look deep into his eyes.

"Your place".

"I'll drive".

He takes us to his house, which is in a pretty nice area. It's way above anything I could afford, nicely furnished on the inside, so he's clearly not short of money.

"Looks like I picked the right bar to go to tonight," he says as soon as he closes the front door behind us and locks it.

"You sure did. Do you have anything to drink?"

"There's plenty of wine in the kitchen".

"Allow me".

He keeps a close eye on me, or should I say my arse while I grab the wine from a rack in the kitchen and pour us both a glass each.

"So how do you want to do this?" he almost seems surprised that I'm not more nervous about being in a strangers home.

"Well we can quickly finish these off and then I was hoping you would take me upstairs to your bedroom and shag my brains out. Sound good to you?"

"Sounds like a plan," he downs the wine with ease, not even noticing that I haven't touched a drop of my own.

"So where's your bedroom?"

Without hesitation he leads me upstairs and begins kissing my neck the second we get through the bedroom door. His kisses are sloppy and gross and he soon stops what he's doing when he starts to feel lightheaded.

"I think I drank that glass of wine a little too fast," he sits on the edge of the bed laughing.

"Are you feeling okay?"

"I just feel really dizzy all of a sudden," he rubs his forehead in confusion.

"Maybe you should lay down or something?" I suggest.

"Yes, I think I should," his eyes roll back as he falls unconscious.

About ten minutes after that, I wake him up by pouring a cold glass of water over his clammy face.

"What's going on?" he coughs.

"I think you've been drugged. How terribly unfortunate".

"I can't move," he groans.

"I know. That's exactly what the drugs I slipped into your wine were for, stupid," I laugh.

"What? You drugged me?"

"No shit, Sherlock".

"Why?" his eyes seem to come into focus.

"You don't remember me, do you? Such a pity, I really thought we had something special all those years ago".

"What are you talking about? I've never met you before in my life".

"Really? You don't remember that party you went to? Those pills you were giving out? That poor girl?"

"Oh God," he has a moment of realisation.

"That's right, now you remember. What was it you said that night? This will only hurt more if you put up a fight".

"Please, it was just a stupid mistake. I'm so sorry," he begins to cry like a baby.

"Save your apologies for someone who actually gives a shit".

I place a plastic bag over his head, tightening it at the neck to cut off his oxygen, knowing that he can't do anything but await his fate. He deserves a far worse death than this after what he did.

This was me being kind.

When he's finally stopped breathing all together a few minutes later, I pull out another plastic bag from my handbag and start the process of cleaning up.

I wash the glasses we'd used and the outside of the wine bottle too so there's no fingerprints. Then I carefully remove the bag from over his head, wearing gloves to make sure I leave no trace I was ever here.

Once I've washed his body down and put his clothes and bedding on a boil wash downstairs, I leave discreetly, knowing he has no cctv outside of his house.

"Hannah I'm home!" I call out to her when I get back to my apartment.

"That was quick?" Hannah comes out of her bedroom dressed in her pyjamas.

"You're complaining? I brought you a pizza home, woman".

"Then I'm definitely not complaining. So how did it go?"

"It was pretty simple this time".

"You can tell me more about it, you know? I'm not going to freak out again like I did the first time you did this".

"The less you know the better, young lady. I don't want you getting caught up in all of this. You start university soon so that's what you should be focusing on right now".

"Again, I appreciate you letting me take a year out to earn my own money for uni. I actually like working in the cafe".

"You're far too intelligent to waste your life working there with me. I'm still really pissed off that you didn't wake me up for work this morning before you left, by the way".

"Well you were out almost all night following that creep around town, you have to sleep sometime".

"I'll sleep when it's over, I promise".

"But how much longer is that going to be? What if something bad happens to you? I won't have anyone left".

"Nothing is going to happen to me Hannah, I promise. Just three more and it's done".
