We walk side by side in relative silence through the dark, dimly lit streets. I felt bad for turning him down earlier today only for him to find me by chance at the bar and completely alone.

"Did your work friends not mind you ditching them for me?" I try to break the silence between us.

"I'd hardly call them friends just yet. I think they were being nice because I'm new there. Plus once they saw that I was leaving with you in a dress like that, they didn't seem to mind at all," he laughs.

"What's wrong with my dress?" I look down to examine it.

"Nothing at all, its just very...."

"It's very what?"

"Sexy," he gives me that damn charming smile again that makes me weak in the knees.

"Is that a bad thing?"

"No, not at all".

"Then I should wear this more often if it gets a reaction like that," I smile back.

"I probably shouldn't say this but a dress like that one is only eye catching if the right person is wearing it".

"Meaning?"

"You are a rather beautiful young woman, Sara".

"I do scrub up nicely on occasion don't I?"

"Would you have worn that dress tonight if we had gone out to dinner?"

"Oh god no. I do have classier dresses than this one I swear".

"You would have looked beautiful no matter what you'd chosen to wear".

Hearing him call me beautiful is giving me some serious butterflies. I really need to pull myself together.

"Is the offer still on to buy me dinner then?"

I have an idea, but I'm not sure if he will like it. Either way I'm absolutely starving.

"What, right now?"

"Why not? Aren't you hungry?"

"I could eat".

"Let's go this way. I know a great place".

About five minutes later we arrive at my favourite takeaway that I order from almost every time I go out. At least it's still relatively early so nobody else is in here.

"You want to eat here?" Tom asks, confused when he looks around.

"Are you afraid to slum it every once in a while, Mr Dalton?"

"I like a takeaway just as much as the next man".

"Just not kebabs I take it?"

"I've honestly never tried one before," he whispers under his breath as to not offend the men behind the counter.

"AJ! Three of my usual please," I shout to the man in the back. I'm a regular so he knows exactly what I want.

"Why three?"

"When I order from here I always bring Hannah one home".

"Hannah lives with you?" he asks, and I realise I'd never mentioned that to him before.

"She's my little sister. I'm paying for her to go to university in September, but she's been taking a year out first to save up enough money to pay her own way over there. Hence why she works at the cafe".

"She sounds like a sensible young woman".

"She is. Honestly I have no idea where she gets it from".

"That's clearly from you".
