Chapter 7

Izanagi's POV. Grand Narukami Shrine.

I slowly woke up from my nap as I noticed it's already night and I can feel something on my shoulder.

I gently rub my eyes and I saw a pink little fox sleeping on my shoulder.

Izanagi: Ah, Sakura........it seems like you watched over me again.

Izanagi: Are you somehow like my guardian spirit or what?

I gently picked the little fox and held her in my arms as I gently pat her head.

Izanagi: You know, if I could only introduce you to Miko.

Izanagi: Since she's a fox envoy and all........

Sakura slowly opens her eyes as she yawns.

Izanagi: Haha.

The little fox looked at me with a happy expression as she nuzzles her nose to my arm.

Izanagi: You want something to eat?

Sakura: *tilts head*

Izanagi: Hmmm, what do I want to eat? Well, I'm not yet hungry.

I then gently put the little fox on top of my head.

Izanagi: Hmmmm, you know, people might think you're my hat.

Sakura: ???

Izanagi: Nevermind.

I stood up from my seat and went to the entrance of the shrine as I asked Inagi.

Izanagi: Oh, Ms. Inagi, how's the exorcism.

Inagi: We already received word of what happened.

Inagi: And Lady Yae said that she'll take upon the case of the said exorcism.

Izanagi: I see, well then.......

Izanagi: I guess, Miko is probably waiting for me to go home.

Then I noticed that Sakura wasn't on top of my head anymore.

Izanagi: And looks like my little kitsune friend wanted to go home for today.

Izanagi: Thanks for informing me of what happened. I'll ask Miko about the details tomorrow.

Inagi: Be safe, Izanagi.

Izanagi: To you as well.

Then I descended Mt. Yougou alone.......

And went to the forest where Miko's house is located.

When I arrived.........

Izanagi: I'm back.......

When I put off my sandals and took some of the layers of my kimono off, I noticed that Miko is already sleeping on my desk.
