Lumine's POV. Inazuma City, Tenshukaku.
As my companion and I were walking towards Tenshukaku, my companion summarized what happened just the other day.
Paimon: So, we gave Ei the original manuscript of Izanagi's new novel and apparently, she called us because she finished reading it.
Lumine: Yep. We've been called by one of the guards at Tenshukaku.
When we reached the throne room, we told the guard that the Electro Archon is the one who summoned us and he let us in.
As we entered, the Raiden Shogun is stading there, with a book in hand.
When she saw us, she greeted us in a lively tone, knowing that it is Ei.
Ei: Oh, finally. Took you long enough.
Lumine: Well, we were running commissions when you just summoned us.
Ei: I see. But it seems you finished your errands, yes?
Paimon: Yep! Oh, Ei, are you here to ask us to return the book to Izanagi?
Ei: Miko told you that, after I read the novel, you can go give it to the publishing house.
Lumine: Yep.
She hands us the novel as Paimon and I read the title.
Paimon: "A Song to the Thousand Winds."
Lumine: Must be inspired by the Thousand Winds Temple?
Ei: When I read the novel, it brought me to tears.
Lumine: Really? Is this book really tearjerking?
Paimon: Let's take a look.
We read some of the passages of the novel and it was so powerful as if you are there in the story.
The story is basically an alternate reality where the City of Mondstadt was plunged into an era of sadness.
There are no more joyous crowds singing in the plaza square. An alternate reality where Mondstadt became a lifeless city.
Bards lost the motivation to create new ballads, the children aren't playing outside anymore, the adults don't feel alive.
A sad reality if that ever happened to Mondstadt.
Paimon: "The City of Freedom, plunged in darkness."
Paimon: "Embraced by lifelessness....."
Paimon: "Nothing is present but sadness......."
Lumine: "The City of Freedom, lost its freedom once more."
Lumine: "The people of Mondstadt cried out to their Archon........."
Lumine: "But all was heard, was wind with no direction."
Paimon: Now, if you really kinda read it, it's really sad.
