I apologize for how confusing this book became lol. It became a debate not a story lmao but anyways. Second to last chapter and the Zach book will start next week and I'm excited about it and I refuse to get carried away with it

Madison's POV

Noah had insisted on talking to me but I ended up declining. I didn't have the energy to deal with him. After he'd left, I thought I was done with him. I was on the way home from work when I ran into Noah. "Can we talk?"

"No. It's almost dark. I need to get home," I replied, trying to get past him.

Noah glared at me and I sighed. "Fine. You have two minutes."

"I didn't mean for it to happen. I swear. It all happened so fast," Noah stammered. "I know you saw the video. I wasn't expecting her to do that."

I focused on Noah's eyes as he spoke. He was hard to read, but his eyes always gave away his real feelings. "You can hate me. I hate myself."

"Tell me how you even knew about any of this? Why didn't you ever tell me you were that close with Martin?" I asked.

Noah went on to explain how he wasn't even allowed to be with Martin as a kid because of the gang. After his parents died, he was still a minor and was sent to live with Martin since he was his next of kin. He's been behind the scenes which is how he knew so much. He told me how he had found out about Martin and he was threatened into going after Chloe. He built her trust and waited till he could get information out of her. I knew he was telling the truth. Nothing about his body language said he was lying. "Fine. What was going on between Chloe and Benjamin?"

"As far as I know, Chloe was sent in by your dad. It's the whole reason she started dating Jack. I mean she did love Jack, but it started out as a mission. None of us knew that Benjamin was involved until Chloe herself got involved. She saved all of us," Noah replied.

"She saved us? She killed Eben's step-brother. You better have a good reason for this," I groaned.

"I wish I did," Noah muttered. "All I know is that Chloe must've found out and that led her to attack him. Martin told me that Benjamin was out for some kind of revenge. He was on parole until recently. It's definitely no secret that he was a gangster, however, he has never had any association except for being a relative so the police just ignored him."

I looked into Noah's eyes. I knew he wasn't lying, but I could never forgive him for what happened. I glanced at my watch and saw I was running late. "I can't be around you anymore Noah. I'm sorry. I have to go. Goodbye."

I turned to run and almost collided with someone. "Eben? What the hell are you doing here?"

"Corbyn was worried. I came to find you. Is he bothering you?" Eben sighed.

I shook my head as I searched through my purse. "No. He's fine. Is this what I owe you?"

Eben counted the money I'd handed him. "Thanks. See you around I guess."

"You owed Eben money?" Noah asked and I nodded.

"He was helping me with something," I replied and left.

Corbyn's POV (this is gonna be super short but oh well)

I was sitting on the couch with Madison curled up in my arms when Jonah came running into the room. He grabbed the remote and turned on the television. He quickly changed the channel until he found the news. "Dammit, Jonah she was sleeping."

"I'm sorry," Jonah sighed. "Maddie, you have to hear this."

Maddie groaned as she rested her head on my chest. "Jonah, go away."

"I know. Just watch. It's important," Jonah told her.

"Breaking News, a young man who would like to remain anonymous has turned in Thomas Lakin, pressing charges of abuse to a minor, murder on multiple occasions, and the shooting that occurred early last year. Police say that this gentleman brought in evidence which could put Lakin away for the rest of his life."

"Madison?" Jonah asked. "Why are you smiling?"

Zach walked in and frowned when he saw us. "What's going on?"

"Who turned him in?" I asked her as she smirked.

"You'll never know and you don't need to," she said gently. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight boys."
