"That went horribly." Abhimanyu whispers looking at the city view.
I rest my face in my hands.
"Why is this happening to me...""To us." He corrects.
I raise my eyes to meet his. His face looks infuriatingly good under the moonlight and that annoys me above and beyond. "I hate you. You've always just given me pain."
He shakes his head and snorts, "I can say the same about you. Fucking thorn on my side."
"Right back at you asshole. This is all because of you. If only your personality matched your face and wasn't so pathetic."
He crosses his arms across his chest. "Uh huh. So you think I am good looking?"
Shit. "Yeah, you wish."
"Just admit it, Saanvi. If I hadn't made it clear on the wedding day that I loved someone else then you would have tried to make this work."
"No I wouldn't have but feel free to think whatever strokes your ego." I retort.
"You would have. You know it."
"I wouldn't have."
"You would have."
"No."
"Yes."
"Fine okay!" I yell. "I might have wanted to try to make it work but so what. Thank God you saved me though from making such a mistake...
I rise up from my chair and point my finger at him. "I hate you so much I want puch your smug face each time I see it."He takes a step closer to me, agitation steaming off of him, "I hate you so much I want to pull my hair out each time I see you."
"I hate you so much I want to gouge your eyes out each time you run your stupid hand through your hair." My veins are pumping with so much adrenaline right now. I can't even stand straight.
"I hate you so much. I want to rip your clothes off every time you roll your eyes."
"I hate you so much- no wait what the fuck did you just say? You want to rip my clothes off?" Did he really just say that. That jerk.
Abhimanyu's cheeks redden. He's possibly the only guy I've ever known who blushes. I always thought it was cute though. Cute? Where did that come from Saanvi. Get a grip. "I said rip your face off.." He backtracks.
"No way. I heard you." I heckle him.
"Shut up. You're just trying to hear what you want to. You're probably the one who wants to rip my clothes off. " He smiles venomously, "I remember how eagerly you kissed me that day. Like you couldn't get enough."
"We are not bringing up that day, Abhimanyu." I warn.
"Fine."
"Good." My breath is laboured. My hands balled into fists.
"Yeah. Good." He repeats breathily.
I realise how close we are standing. Barely two steps, and he'd be in my space."Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask when I notice his eyes on my face.
"I hate you." Is his answer. His eyes flashing with something I don't want to name.
"I hate you too." I reply and then without missing a beat I turn on my heels and walk away because if I stayed two more seconds I'd do something I'll deeply regret.
