Abhimanyu's pov

I stretch back in my chair and lift my phone to eye level. Clicking on the gallery app, I press on a picture of me and Saanvi.

In the picture she is laughing at something on the TV, while her head rests on my lap. The picture is of a month ago. That day work had been extremely tiring for her so we spent the night eating her comfort food pizza and watching her comfort show, Tarak Mehta ka Oolta chashma. My girl is easy to please, what can I say.

Just looking at the picture makes my chest pinch with longing. It's been almost a whole day since Saanvi left.

I hope she is able to move through her issues by the end of the day, at the very maximum, because I don't think I can go anymore time than that without her. She is everything, man. I am not even exaggerating. Without her, all the flowers don't smell as sweet. The sun doesn't shine as bright. And our fuking bed feels fucking cold, just like the emptiness I feel inside me.

Yes, I have started thinking poetic bullshit again.
I don't know what is it with me and heart break that makes me a fuking poet.

I understand she needs to feel whole again but goddamn if I feel like some homeless gypsy without her. How am I supposed to feel whole when the best part of me is god knows where, doing god knows what.

And....there I go again, thinking poetic nonsense.

I need a drink. It's four in the evening, but screw it. I am almost about to rise up from my chair and head to dad's office where he keeps a mini cabinet full of expensive booze. It's mostly for show off purposes. He says most of his CEO friends keep a booze cabinet in their office, so he decided to hop on to the trend. My dad is like a teenager under peer pressure, seriously.

I never get the chance to leave my office though because my secretary, Karan pops his head in.
"Hey boss, the PI looking in the 'almost scandal' matter is here. She is waiting outside, should I send her in?" He asks.

What is Nitya doing here? As far as I remember I had called her up the very same evening of mine and Saanvi's argument and told her that I wouldn't be going ahead with her agency because of some "personal reasons".

"Send her in." I nod. He shoots me with a "okay boss" before disappearing.

Two minutes later a gentle knock sounds on my door. The door opens immediately after I give the green signal to come in. In walks Nitya, no surprise there. The first words she had said to me after she entered my office for the first time last Wednesday was "Abhi! It's so good to see you! I am Nitya Dugal. We knew each other back in high school remember?"

So it was kind of tough not to recognise her.

"Hey, what brings you here?" I ask as she takes a seat, "I thought I had made it clear I wasn't going ahead with your agency."

She flashes me a smile and shakes her head. "I know and that's why I am here. I actually wanted to come by sooner but I was down with a cold so I couldn't." She explains hastily.
"Abhi I don't understand, what happened? Why do you want to terminate our contract?"
