Chapter 6: Fox Clones and Bells

Naruto jolts awake in his bed, his mothers picture beside him thankfully hadn't fallen off or crumpled too badly. After having been explained what Kurama had in mind last night, he had decided to give it a go, however, it proved a bit more challenging than he thought, after all, they had to be perfect.

Naruto sits up and stretches, today was suppose to be the day for the make up test with Kakashi sensei, luckily he didn't tell them it was in the early hours in the morning this time, instead he made it for the after noon, straight after lunch. Which meant he had a few hours to kill before he has to get ready, pack his ninja gear and maybe get some more practicing done.

Finally getting up and out of bed, he goes straight for a shower, bypassing the broken mirror. As he undresses and steps into the shower he couldn't help but think of that Gaara kid again, he just seemed so...in a way the kid was just as mysterious as that Han's guy, except with Gaara you could see everything. He wonders if he had his living space vandalised too, if he often got glared at walking down the street, or been cursed at all the time...he must have to have seemingly fallen that low mentally. Suddenly, his heart begins to hammer in his chest as he pictured how the boy would look if he actually smiled, he smiles at the image in his head.

 'Gaara..I will save you, I promise' he thinks.

After having a shower and breakfast he still had 2 more hours or so to kill so he decided to use this time to develop his new shadow clone technique. Kurama's idea was quite simple, and in fact genius. If he was careful enough the plan should definitely work, provided nothing happens to his clones during transit. The plan was to have him make shadow clones and then have those shadow clones transform info foxes, if he was being honest though, other than Kurama he has never really seen a fox before, but surely its not that hard, they are surely just a smaller version of Kurama with way less tails, right?

He watches his three clones go at it as he sat on his bed and packed what he thought he'd might need, he spots the bombs in his usual pouch and wonders if he should bring them...

"I wouldn't kid, I'm sure the hokage's mansion is chaotic after last night, they will probably try to find out who it was and those bombs will directly link you to the crime kid" Kurama advises through the bond with a yawn.

That was fair enough, he then proceeds to take out his bombs and carefully places them in his going away bag, the bag for his bigger missions. Going back to his gear he spots the new seals that he had made and practiced with with Sakura, he had managed to get it right maybe 50% of the time, it took ages for him to get the writing on the seals right though, but with Sakura's help he had managed to make 8, which would be good for 2 successful attempts at the jutsu, the Sealed Binding Formation. It apparently traps and immobilises the enemy leaving them vulnerable. However, they have to actually fall into the trap for it to work. Timing is also a big factor too, feeling a bit proud of himself he decides to pack them just incase.

Suddenly, the next thing he knew a fox had jumped up onto his bed, startling him at first until he remembered that he had clones working on the transformation jutsu, he picks up the fox and inspects it, it looked exactly like a mini Kurama, with the orange fur and blood red eyes, the only difference being that there was only 1 tail instead of nine. Suddenly his own voice comes from the little fox.

"So how did I do? This good enough?" Says the fox clone.

Naruto smiles excitedly "Its perfect! Man this is so cool, I can totally see this working! Kurama are you seeing this?! It's like a baby you!"

"Hmph, good job kid, that transformation isn't bad.. lets see how many you can pull off more than one-" suddenly another fox exactly identical pops up on his bed also, interrupting Kurama.
