Chapter 52: Tsunade's Decision

Tsunade P.O.V

Flashback...

"Negotiate?" she glared at Orochimaru, her disgust for the one she use to call a comrade rising.

"Yes" says the man she now knows as Kabuto, protecting the snake like a loyal dog.

"Don't make me laugh! I've already told you once, get out of my sight!" she growls.

"We can't do that" Kabuto pleads.

"Get out of my sight" she says again dangerously.

"You are the only one who can treat Lord Orochimaru's arms" Kabuto continues stubbornly.

The nerve of this man, she was beginning to sound like a broken record "get out of my sight".

"We are not asking you to do it for free, let's make a deal!" the loyal dog urges.

Her patience was almost spent "I'll count down from five, leave before I'm done, or else I'll make you dissappear myself".

"Please calm down, it won't be a bad deal for you...-"

"Five" she interrupts.

"Four" she says next, whilst the man before her tenses,  still not moving, however sighs in what looks to be defeat.

"Three" she continues making sure to lock eyes with Orochimaru.

"Two"  almost done now, Shizune takes her stance next to her, ready for a fight.

"One" she finally states and then goes to waste no time, however, just as she was about to make her move, Orochimaru's voice causes her to pause, her heart stopping at his words.

"I'll resurrect your little brother and your lover back to life" Orochimaru offers. She could feel her eyes widen as shock consumes her. Even Shizune stops in her tracks.

"With the Forbidden Justu I've developed" Orochimaru finishes.

She could only stare, triggered by the snakes words, images of her brother and Dan plaguing her mind, hidden depression trying to rear its ugly head once again. Silence fills the air between them, nothing but the howling winds could be heard..Orochimaru says something else but she wasn't sure she heard correctly, her mind was drifting away, back into her nightmares of crying over her little brothers corpse and having Dans blood soaking her fingertips. She shakes it off in time to hear Orochimaru's next enticing words.

"Don't you want to see those two again, Tsunade" Orochimaru asked, as pain echoes violently in her heart, the vivid images threatening her once more.

'Nawaki...Dan...' she thinks to herself in sorrow.

"If I treat your arms, what do you intend to do with them?" she asks seriously, Orochimaru's offer gaining her interest, she couldn't help but feel ashamed of herself, letting herself be swayed by the snake.

"Well, I don't like to lie...In addition to getting what I want...This time I will completely destroy the Leaf Village!" Orochimaru announces, causing her stomach to curl in on itself.

End of flashback...

"What a mess..." she whispers to herself as she stares with dead eyes towards the machine in front of her, she was getting sevens no longer, good.

"Lady Tsunade..." Shizune says from behind her, worry tainting her once cheery voice "I think that's enough for today...you have been on this machine all day...you can't keep coming here, it's been days now..." Shizune all but fumbles nervously "both Orochimaru and Jiraiya expect an answer tomorrow...".
