Chapter Twenty-Five: Morning Breath Is Surprisingly Romantic

I wake up to the feeling of being wrapped up in a cocoon. Lou’s bare chest is directly in my face and I lift my gaze to see him still asleep. I smile a little as I take in how relaxed and almost childish he looks in sleep. He looks like a little boy and its makes me want to take care of him. He probably wouldn’t let me but I want to all the same, he’s just so cute.

I roll my eyes at myself for even thinking something like that. Okay, so he’s cute and okay he is your boyfriend but that doesn’t have to be a nerd about it. I look up at him again and bite my lip so my grin doesn’t spread too crazily. Ugh but he’s just so adorable! I can’t help myself. Reaching up I move a lock of his hair, that’s fallen over his eyes out his face making him stir.

Shit, shit, shit! Abort mission!

Tucking my hand back into my body I decide to play it cool and pretend to be asleep. I can do that right? I’ve seen in it in a ton of movies before and its looks pretty easy. Closing my eyes I try to relax but it doesn’t help that I feel his eyes burning into me. He’s awake, I know he’s awake but I don’t dare open my eyes.

I refuse to be caught harassing him while he sleeps.

Of course that thought is cut off when Lou’s hand, which up to this point has been lying limply on my hip, takes action. Pulling me flush against him he presses his lips to mine making my eyes fling open before fluttering closed again. I lay my hand on his bare chest, over his heart while he deepens the kiss making me giggle against his lips. I can feel him smile but its brief as he continues to make this morning the nest one in a long time.

Leaning back he caresses his thumb against my bruised cheek as he cups my face. I open my eyes slowly and see him smiling softly at me while his eyes rotate between my eyes and mouth. Out of habit I bite my lower lip and he groans before coming towards me again to kiss me soundly on the lips.

“I could use to this.” I tell him breathlessly as he pulls back again.

“Me too.” He agrees with a smile, “How’d you sleep?”

“Pretty good. You?”

“Great.” He says with a grin so wide I think his face may crack in half, “Though I have to say, you are an awful fake sleeper.”

I slap his arm making him laugh, “Dick.”

“I have one yes.”

I make a face, “Gross.”

Rolling his eyes he kisses me again before pulling back to say, “You know I’d usually find this highly unsanitary, kissing without brushing my teeth but I don’t mind it with you.”

“How fortunate for me.” I tell him dryly.

“Is that any way to talk to your boyfriend?”

I blush at the reminder but still manage to quip back, “Is making dick jokes really how you should be talking to your girlfriend?”

“Well if I don’t make them to you who else am I supposed to make them to?”

“Uh…good point.”

He smiles as he starts leaning towards me, “I knew you’d see it my way.”

Lou’s lips are on mine again and it doesn’t take long for things to start heating up again. Its almost like he can’t get enough of me and that feeling is incredibly addicting. Leaning into his body his hand goes between our bodies before wrapping around my lower back again to bring me flush against him again.
