It was a family night which meant no friends or boyfriend over. We were sitting around the dinner table eating and talking.
"Have you ordered your textbooks yet?" My dad asked me. I had gotten my textbook list for college. I was majoring in Criminal Justice, something I've been interested in since I was younger. It all started with me watching Law and Order and then it escalated from there.
"Um I was planning on getting them soon. I don't really wanna think about it right now" I replied. I hated thinking about college, Austin and I weren't going to the same college but we were only going to be 2 hours away, but when you're in love that seems like 200 hours away. We finished up dinner with minimal talk about college. I was in the kitchen doing dishes with my mom when I got a text from Austin asking if I wanted to hang out. I hesitantly asked my mom even though it was only 7 I was worried she would say no.
"Uh sure just don't be out late." She replied. Mom still didn't really like Austin and I going out but she was getting used to it and our relationship was better.
"Thanks" I said. I quickly finished the dishes and went upstairs to call Austin.

Instead of just Austin and I we invited the whole gang too. We were sitting outside an ice cream shop talking about old memories.
"Remember that one time Robert was trying to get a girls number and he tripped on the way there?" Zach laughed out. We all started laughing including Robert. That day was hilarious. Robert was tired of being alone so he finally got the guts to talk to the girl he's been in love with for years. But we all didn't expect it to end up with Robert tripping and falling onto her.
"I'm gonna miss this." Austin said as we all settled down.
"We are still going to hang out." Austin reassured me placing his hand on mine.
"I know, but it just won't be the same."
"Well let's not worry about the future. Lets just be in the now." Alex said. We all looked at him
"I can be philosophical too you know" He replied taking a scoop of his ice cream. We sat there until the sun went down just enjoying each other's presence.

It was around nine o'clock at night when we finished talking. I was tired so I went home but the boys stayed out going to a party that a kid from our school was hosting. I knew there was going to be drinking so I dropped the guys off at the party and made them call me when they were ready to be picked up. That meant no sleep for me tonight.
I was watching Supernatural when I got a phone call.
"Hello?" I answered not bothering to look at the caller I.D.
"Alexa?" I heard Zach say is a sad voice.
"Zach what's wrong? Is everything okay?" I asked worriedly already getting up from my bed and putting on my shoes.
"I need you to come pick us up, um Austin is drunk and" Zach stuttered.
"Zach what about Austin?" I said running down the stairs.
"Alexa he kissed another girl."
