"Im so proud of you!" My dad said as I ran up to them after the ceremony. I hugged them all and started talking to them while looking for Austin in the crowd.
"Hello beautiful" I heard someone whisper in my ear. I turned around and came face to face with Austin. I quickly engulfed him in a hug. When we let go he had the biggest smile on his face.
"We did it!" He said, and then his lips were on mine.
"Please dont kiss in front of me!" I heard my brother yell from behind us. I broke away from the kiss and started laughing. Austins mom was already talking to my parents. We got into the conversation with our parents about where we should go for celebration dinner. We all suggested something different but in the end Austin and I had the final say and we decided on PF Changs.
"So you guys ready for the adult world?" Michelle asked us as we waited for our food.
"I definetly am! Im gonna party all night and sleep all day!" Austin said fist pumping the air. Michelle gave him an evil glare.
"Im kidding"Austin said turing red and lowering down his hand. I laughed at his dorkiness.
"Kinda scared for it actually but I think Ill managed." I responded. I was pretty nervous for college life and adult life. I was not ready to pay taxes or ready to pay all my bills.
"She will have me" Austin said smugly putting his arm around me. I rolled my eyes and shrugged his arm off of me. We continued our dinner with talks about the future.
"Wanna hang out tonight?" I asked Austin as we sat in his car still in the parking lot of PF Changs. Our parents already went home allowing Austin and I to stay out. Even though we aren't in high school we still have to follow the rules because 'we still live under their roof'. Austin's thumb was rubbing against my thigh which relaxed me.
"Sure what do you want to do?"
"My house sleepover in the backyard?" I suggested intertwining my hand with his that was on my thigh.
"Sounds good" He replied turning on the car.
Since it was summer we didn't need a tent so we just dragged out sleeping bags and pillows. We had to sleep under my parents window so they could see us at all times. Austin and I laid down the sleeping bags and got in them. We already changed into our pjs so we were ready to sleep. We laid in silence for awhile just looking at the sky.
"Are you scared?" I asked breaking the silence.
"A little yea" Austin responded already knowing what I was talking about.
"Can you promise me something?" I whispered turning on my side to face him.
"Anything" He said mimicking my action.
"Promise me you won't leave me even if we aren't together you'll always be my best friend"
"Promise" He said with no hesitation. We closed the gap between us and our lips collided.
"MOVE AWAY FROM EACH OTHER!" We heard someone yelling from above. Austin and I both laughed at my dad as we scooted away from each other.
"I love you" Austin said kissing my temple.
"I love you too."
