It was a typical summer day except it was raining and I was stuck inside. I couldn't leave the house because I was sick. I had a cold and probably a stomach bug. I have no clue how I got a cold but the stomach bug was probably from the big bowl of raw cookie dough I consumed last night. My parents were out probably because they didn't want to get infected and my brother was at his friends house.

I was laying in bed groaning from the pain and sniffing like crazy. I hadn't looked at my phone because the brightness was too high and would hurt my eyes and I was too lazy to turn it down. Because of this I hadn't answered the text that were flowing in from my friends.

I finally mustered up the courage to endure the pain when my phone started ringing. I groaned and answered the phone.

"What?" I groaned out instead of being polite and saying 'Hey'.

"This is your best friend wondering where my other best friend is." The person on the other side of the phone said.

"Robert I'm sick and dying so can I please go back to bed." I begged.

"Why are you always sick? Go to the doctor son."

"Robert shut up."

"Fine I'll tell Austin to go keep you company." Robert said.

I groaned and said "Why Austin?"

"Because you love him and you need someone to comfort you." Robert explained.

"But I love you guys too." I tried to bargain.

"Yea but not in a 'let me make out with you' way." Robert laughed out.

I groaned at him and finally agreed to him calling Austin.

That's how I ended up awkwardly laying next to Austin. We had quite a big space between us since we weren't you know, together anymore. We were watching The Office even though the light from the TV was hurting my eyes, I didn't want to sit in silence with Austin.

"Are you hungry?" Austin asked me as we finished our fifth episode.

"Kinda of not really. I'm too scared to eat anything cause I'm over throwing up everything." I said my eyes still on the tv.

"I'll make you some chicken noodle soup." Austin offered getting out of my bed.

"That would be great." I said not bothering to say No. I smiled at him and he went into the hall.

After 25 minutes Austin reappeared into my room with a bowl of soup and some Gatorade. I sat upright on my bed and Austin sat on the edge of my bed. He put the plate on my lap and I started sipping the soup. I smiled in satisfaction and finished up the soup. I felt a little better after the soup.

"Thank you so much for that." I smiled up at him. He smiled back and we just stared at each other for awhile. He placed his hand on my cheek and I melted into his hand.

"Austin." I groaned realizing we were suppose to be on a break. Austin removed his hand.

"Sorry, I just miss us, this."

I missed this too but I didn't want to get hurt again. I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers because I needed to feel his touch.

Austin looked down at our hands and smiled.

"I don't want to force you to rush your decision."

"I know." I whispered looking at our intertwined hands.

I did miss this it's been weeks but was that enough time to go back into the relationship or did I need more time? I was so confused and I didn't know what to do. I guess Austin saw the confused look on my face

"What are you thinking about?" He asked rubbing thumb over my knuckles.

"About this whole thing."

He scooted closer to me and pushed my hair behind my ears.

"What about it?"

"I miss you so much. Even though we are still friends I miss your kisses and hugs, but I don't want to get hurt again. I think its better we stay friends for  little longer, so that means no kissing or holding hands. But hugs are okay." I explained.

I could see the hurt on Austin's face but he quickly changed it into a small smile.

"If that's what you want then I'm perfectly happy with that."
