"Let's escape." Dazai whispers close to his ear.

Atsushi stops typing, body shuddering with tingles as he looks up from the lit screen of his computer to the brown eyes glittering with mischief and a hint of something different that Atsushi couldn't pinpoint.

"Escape...?"

"Yes, let's get out of here." Dazai blinks, smile never faltering.

"I need to finish this document." Atsushi sighs, turning back.

A finger prods at his chin before they wrap around his face and tilt his head to face Dazai.

"I'll give you chazuke." The brunette winks, his other hand reaching over to close the laptop shut. He takes Atsushi's still hand and pulls him up, "Come on."

.

"Wow, this park is really beautiful." Atsushi gazes mesmerizingly at their spot. The field made up of bright green grass, a small stream trailed down and a small waterfall sprayed at the start. Dazai spreads the blanket out, making sure it's up to the full size.

The small basket they brought with them was set in the middle of the laid out cloth. Some butterflies fluttered on the trees here and there, vibrant colors mixing with the fresh green of spring. It was truly a nice sight, almost romantic. Would be a good spot for dates. Atsushi thought, I'll let Ranpo and Poe know.

Dazai exhales loudly while sitting down, he pats the empty seat next to him. Atsushi obediently lowers himself, smiling graciously as his companion hands him a served bowl.

"Here you go, I did promise you chazuke! I made and perfected it!" Dazai proudly shouts, the younger wincing a bit from the loudness.

"You made it?" Atsushi asks, one eyebrow arching and expression completely disbelieving.

"Yes! I made you chazuke before! Why don't you believe me?" Dazai whines, hand thumping dramatically at his chest.

"I'm kidding, I was just teasing." Atsushi chuckles, he admires the delicious display, the steam rising up to his nose in puffs. The distinct aroma of it had his mouth salivating.

"It does look really good." Atsushi didn't stop staring at the bowl, subconsciously licking his lips.

"Oh Atsushi," Dazai shakes his head in disproval, "Dig in."

"Thank you for the food." Atsushi claps his hands together before diving in, spoonful after spoonful going into his awaiting mouth. The slight sting of the chazuke's heat had him puffing. He puts a palm in front of his lips to keep the food inside.

Blowing a bit before munching expertly on it. Dazai seems to chew on an onigiri, cheeks protruding out with his mouthfuls. He glances occasionally at Atsushi, grinning when their eyes meet.

"It's a pretty park, how did you find it?" Atsushi asks, another spoonful eaten. Dazai covers his mouth with his hand.

"I stumbled upon it when I found a branch to hang myself." He replies, tone sending anxious shivers down Atsushi's back. He was about to ask something before Dazai smiles brightly. "I'm just kidding! I found it while walking, I was bored of the agency."

"Oh, that's nice. You should really finish your work though, Kunikida is stressed enough already." Atsushi sighs, heart beat slowing to its normal pace, he really didn't want Dazai trying to commit.

"Why do you always take his side?" Dazai whines, leaning his body til he lay flat on his stomach. His cheek lightly bumping on Atsushi's right knee.

"I don't. I just don't want you getting beaten again." Atsushi exhales, grumbling a bit as he digs his spoon into the bowl. His ears weren't ready for the next exaggerating response.
