Although Dazai had reassured him many times on his decent personality, Atsushi is still quivering from his knees. It's his first time meeting a Port Mafia executive and not only that, a powerful one with gravity powers.
Dazai had spoken of Chuuya with a vile, disgusting and hated tone of voice. Yet, Atsushi could still hear the small hint of respect underlying his boyfriends words. Atsushi was quite astounded when the subject of meeting Chuuya arose. But how could he object to such a privilege?
Dazai had told him that Chuuya wanted to meet him and Atsushi recoiled back so quickly. So now, they're on their way to the agreed meeting, Dazai too protective to allow Atsushi to go on his own.
They venture around the buildings, bypassing shops and parks that litter with people. Atsushi takes brief peers inside stores to get a glimpse on the merchandise, Dazai taking mental notes on where his gaze lingers if for even a second longer.
The streets turns into a corner, heading to a staircase that lead to the downstairs bar. Atsushi is now of age to drink and yet meeting someone as top rank as Nakahara was not on his mind. Dazai chuckles a bit as Atsushi unconsciously shuffles closer, trying to obtain any sliver of comfort.
Wrapping a bandaged arm around Atsushi's shoulders, he pulls the younger towards him and steps into the bar. The chilled air hits Atsushi as soon as they're let in, low volume music plays along in the background as not many costumers loom the place. Atsushi gets steered to a small pub in the corner, slightly taken aback by the short man already sitting with a drink in hand.
"Took you long enough." The redhead grunts, eyes piercing through Atsushi. He rather likes the cerulean color of his irises, like a clear ocean you can stare at without getting bored.
"We'd rather spend our time not meeting with you." Dazai sniffs out, gesturing for Atsushi to sit before he could respond with an apology.
Chuuya tightens his grip on his glass, "I wasn't talking to you, you piece of shit. Let your boyfriend talk for himself." He snarls and briefly glares at the brunette before averting his attention to the pale one.
"So, you're Atsushi." Chuuya does a once over, observing the type of person he could be at first glance. "I heard you were impressive but honestly can't see it." He swishes the glass around, the deep red liquid sloshing in circular motions.
"Ah, didn't think my appearance should matter much to you." Atsushi replies subconsciously, blinking only when noting how his tone sounded. He panics just slightly and glimpses at Dazai. A not so hidden smirk made it's way to his face.
Chuuya squints his eyes, eyebrow twitching for a second. "It's a shame your looks are a disappointment towards Dazai's words." Atsushi tries to remain composed, but that statement did take a toll.
"It's a shame that your height can't make up for your attitude." Atsushi grumbles under his breath, his mind raced with a tad bit frustration and Dazai's not so quiet snickering was not helping.
"You wanna run that by me again?" Chuuya growls, grip even more close to shattering the glass with red liquid inside.
Atsushi takes a small breath, "Guess your attitude goes way beyond than your height could ever go."
Dazai holds up a hand, "Alright, alright. Calm down little boys. We can't start a fight at the bar, I'll have to throw both of you out."
Atsushi and Chuuya turn their attention slowly at him, one glaring and the other bemused. "You're the weakest one here." They declare in unison, taken aback by their thoughts.
"By the way, you do remember what happened last time at a bar? Kunikida beat you to a pulp in front of your "mistress"." Atsushi reaches behind him and pulls out his phone, waving it around proudly. "I caught it all on video."
Chuuya does a small gasp, barely audible for Dazai but with Atsushi's heightened ears it was clear. The redhead smacks his open palm onto Dazai's face and pushes him back. Striding over to take the now open space left by the sputtering brunette, Atsushi nervously giggles a bit but allows Chuuya's arm to wrap around his tense shoulders.
"Oh my gosh, want to hear about the time this disgusting shit embarrassed himself in front of his mentees?" Chuuya jabs a finger in Dazai's direction.
Atsushi let's out a small chuckle, much to Dazai's chagrin. "Heck yes, I can use it for black mail later on."
Chuuya barks out a laugh that quite frankly hurt Atsushi's ear. He smiles nervously as the shorter man pulls him from the pub. The cushion does a little squeak from their weight. Leaving Dazai with the bill and a frown on his face. Atsushi would apologize later for this circumstance — maybe.
"You know what? I'm gonna love you." Chuuya announces delightfully, finally going on and on about how Dazai tried to wrap himself into a mummy but ended up being degraded by Mori himself.
Atsushi of course laughed along and occasionally glanced back to flash a reassuring grin at his saddened boyfriend.
The day was young and Chuuya was by far great company. Atsushi was extremely pleased with meeting the Mafia executive and thrilled with the next arrangements they decided to have.
