The cold weather started to flourish throughout the Morehouse campus as December slowly approached. And there it was, Ugg boots, sweaters, black leggings, and beanies. Millie was all for this by the way. Millie had been waiting at the Sunrise Cafe on campus for Daria to have some baby talk. She came in with her baby bump and took a seat.
"Hey!" Daria said sipping on her chai latte. "Hi, how's the baby?" Millie asked. "Good so far, Cam has been weirdly distance though." Daria added. "That's weird, maybe he's been helping the new kid Ryan a lot." Millie suggested. "I guess, maybe you can chat with him for me? Maybe find out what's happening?" Daria asked. "Look I-" She put down her coffee. "Please! For me and the baby." She smirked. "Fine." Millie rolled her eyes.
1 Hour Later
Millie knocked on Ryan's door hoping for a response.
"Door dash?- Oh wait! Hey Millie." He was surprised. "Hey Ryan, your dorm is so cool." Millie looked around. "Aww, thanks babe. Please come in." Ryan offered.

Millie asked some questions about certain paintings and pictures then sat down on his bed.
"So, you and Cameron." She made herself comfortable. "Oh." He smiled. "Um, how is he? Anything we should know." Millie asked. "Nope, not that I know of. Shit, my door dash is here brb." He ran off.
Millie thought these body gestures were strange but not until he quickly came back into the room with chipotle.
"Funny story, I had actually got this for Cam but he had practice. Wanna take his?" He asked. "Oo! Yes sure, I love this order." Millie smiled.
They ended up watching Bad Girls Club for a few hours while the day passed by. Millie was walking back to her dorm while she got a FaceTime call...
INCOMING FACETIME: DARIA🌺
"HELLO! You didn't text me back! what happened?" "Stop screaming, it's fine. He was at practice and nothing is going on." Millie reassured her. "Okay... thanks for checking. I really just want him to be okay and be here for us." Daria explained. "Alright well, goodnight." Millie hung up.
Millie thought she was over exaggerating a bit but maybe she really wants him to be present in her pregnancy, and that was reasonable. She scanned her keycard to get back into the dorm while a red light on her alarm said 10:58 PM. Emma was already sleep so she quietly slid in some sweats and tank top, she got in bed and quickly fell asleep.
THE MORNING
Millie hopped out of bed and put on her comfy slippers. She grabbed a paper plate from the back of her desk. She grabbed a box of cinnamon crunch and got milk from Emma's mini fridge. She made her cereal and began eating while she texted Caleb good morning. She had felt a lot better since their last talk in the garden, she really felt he was the one for her. But he's right, they are going at a good pace and they really just met. Emma and Courtney are different people and you cannot compare yourselves to them.
I don't know what it was about that message but it for sure made Millie's stomach twist with butterflies at every corner. Eventually she got out the glass doors as the cold air smacked against her body. She made her way to her first class thinking about her plans for the day.

LATER THAT DAY
"I'm ready!" Emma yelled from the bathroom. "I'm putting on my air forces now." Millie squealed with excitement.
Emma grabbed her keys and began to follow Millie to her parking lot.
"Christmas shopping, Christmas shopping." She began the shake her shoulders in a song tune. "Theirs no way you can be that excited." Emma questioned. "We'll you see it right here. GO GO GO!" Millie rushed. "Geez." Emma's eyebrows raised.
They got to Christmas Tree Shop and their the shopping began.
Millie opened her crumbled list of little things for the dorm.
CHRISTMAS DECOR LIST🎄:
-Mini tree -Fake snowballs -Festive mugs -Ordaments -Fairy lights
Mind you, they were balling on a budget being college kids with no jobs.
For the next 15 minutes Emma's brain was spinning with all the questions on decor, how can it take someone so long to figure out which mug they like?!
