The worst part about  Caleb being far away is you can only help him so much. Without him directly contacting you or him answering you have no contact. She was stressed throughout the day wondering what would happen until he finally called back.

"Hey! Are you okay?" She said.
"Yes... I have a torn ACL and I broke a few ribs. I'm on a flight home tomorrow." He groaned.
"My poor baby. I'm so sorry this happened, I'll be there waiting for you." She frowned.
"The nurse is coming back... talk later." He hung up.

She sighed seeing him like that. She decided to proof the house a bit. Stock up with his favorite snacks and make things more accessible. As she was in the middle of shopping we got the text.

"Patterson🍵: Sales are going good! So proud."

Millie smiled at the message but couldn't think of anything other than what happened to her fiancé.

THE NEXT DAY

She waited at the front door for the black suburban to bring Caleb home. He had a knee brace to keep it in place and to heal properly and another one around his stomach area. Since it hurt to move around with his leg he had crutches. They spoke very few words as she helped him into the house and get into bed rest. Something Millie couldn't notice was social media was going nuts. She was up 20,000 more followers, I don't know if it was from the book release or his injury. She was now at 90,000 followers and he was at 810,000. The next few days went smoothly. She took off work for about 2 weeks and spent her days making soups, aiding him through the house and taking him to doctor visits. Even though this might not be the right time she had to tell him about her pregnancy.

"So, since your feeling a bit better mentally I have some important news." She say on the bed.
"Yeah what's up?" He positioned himself on the pillow against the backboard.
"I have been pretty sick lately, around my book realize I took a test and..." Millie pulled out around 10 positive pregnancy tests.
"Woah. Theirs no way... you've been pregnant this whole time?!" He was in shock.
"I think so... I want to wait for you but I really think I should go to an appoint-"
"Yes! Go! Don't wait for me. if anything happens to this baby because we waited to long it's my fault. I will make the appointment for today and Emma can go. I'm so happy for us." He reached and hugged her.
"Really?" She squeezed him.
"OW." He grinned his teeth in pain.
"I'm so sorry. I'm gonna tell Emma now." She ran off to grab her phone.

Of course Emma was down as she would take any opportunity to take a break from looking at a screen of color palettes. They arrived to the baby doctor and signed in with nobody luckily noticing who they were. Which she didn't realize was a concern until she got there. She wanted to keep this under wraps, until Caleb gets better at least.

"Hi! My name is Dr. Huggins, I will be your doctor for today. Please lift up your shirt and lay down against the bed." She said as she logged into the computer.
"Hello, this is my friend Emma. My husband is injured but he will be here with us later on." Millie smiled.
"This might be cold." Dr. Huggins put a cold cream on her flat stomach.
"Alright. A lot of information get some paper out." Dr. Huggins chuckled.
"So! You are 3 and a month half pregnant; the baby is around the size of a small orange. Everything seems healthy so far." She smiled.
"Wow... thank you." Millie said.
"I have some more information for you to take home, but I should see you in 2 weeks!" Dr. Huggins left the room and left the paper with Millie.

Millie arrived home happy and blessed to know her baby was okay. Only to find Caleb in the kitchen.
"What the hell are you doing?! You can get hurt." She rushed to him.
"The doctor said 2 weeks... i'm trying it out. What did the doctor say?" He grabbed the paper.
"We have a healthy baby around 3 months, the size of a small orange." She looked at him.
"Great, sorry i'm just stressed. I'm getting the call in a few days about what they decide to do with basically my whole career." He sighed.
"Sorry about that, it will be okay." She wrapped her arms around his neck.
