So a lot will be different in this story! Just a heads up! please tell me what you think :)

I was just drifting up the little rivers that surrounded our city when I noticed a sky bison! I looked at it in awe, "that boy can't take his eyes off of you" my sister Yue said from beside me, I blushed when I noticed the boy standing just beside the bison, I smiled shyly and looked away.

"He was kind of cute" Yue said as soon as we were out of ear shot,

"Yeah, he was," I said looking back at him, he was staring in our direction I couldn't help but wave.

We finally arrived at the palace, it was late in the afternoon and the celebration for my sisters birthday would start soon, it was time to get girly!

I helped Yue into her beautiful gowned, it was a dark blue dress that hung around her frame fabulously, I had never felt more jealous of my sister before right now. Yue, of course, thought she didn't look any different.

Yue didn't have enough time to help me into my gown, her adviser had come to fetch her as soon as she was dressed.

I sighed at how alone I always felt, the only friend I had ever really had was Yue and now that she was old enough to be married I knew she wouldn't be around anymore.

I put on my light blue dress that set a perfect contrast against my dark brown hair, I left my hair hanging loosely around my shoulders and headed down to the main hall.

I rushed in just as my father began his speech, "We are here tonight to celebrate my eldest daughters 16th birthday! She is now of age and will be set to marry Hahn this spring! We also want to welcome the Avatar and his friends!" My father raised his cup and glanced over at me, I shrugged and brushed off his disapproving look before sitting down to eat.

The table was set with enormous amounts of food, All kinds of foods! I started to stack up my plate happily when I heard someone cough beside me, I dragged my eyes away from the table and noticed the adorable water tribe boy and his sister were sitting right next to me! I swallowed the food I had been chewing and looked up at him nervously.

"Ah, umm hi," I said blushing,

"Hi! I'm Sokka, from the southern water tribe" Sokka said smiling at me, I felt my heart race a little at the sight of his smile, it was breathtaking.

"So ah you're a princess huh? You know back in the southern water tribe I'm kind of a prince" Sokka said when I saw his sister turn to him and laugh "ha! Prince of what?" She asked I couldn't help but laugh at the two bickering siblings, it reminded me of my sister and me,
"A lot of things! Do you mind I'm trying to have a conversation!" Sokka said glaring at his sister before turning back to me, I smiled warmly at the southern water tribe girl still giggling to myself.

"So...it looks like I am going to be in town for a while" awkward pause "I was wondering" another awkward pause. Man, I wish this boy would just get to the point already! My foods going cold! "Would you like to do an....activity....with me" I could tell activity wasn't the word he was looking for, I laughed clenching my stomach trying not to be rude, but I couldn't help it! He was so adorable and innocent.

I watched as Sokka seemed embarrassed he stuffed his face full of food. When I heard my sister call out to me, "Ayla!" I sighed wiping the tears out of my eyes, "I am sorry, I didn't mean to laugh so hard, but you're a really funny guy" I said kissing his cheek sweetly before getting up and walking over to Yue, "well at least she thinks you're funny" I heard Sokka's sister mutter as I left.

The next morning I was a riding boat down the rivers to go see the avatar do his training with master Pakku, "princess! How about that party last night! You're father sure knows how to throw a feast!" I knew instantly it was Sokka from his voice I turned smiling joyfully, "good morning, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, please call me Ayla, princess is so formal"I said as he walked beside my boat, "well, it wasn't as much fun once you left" I blushed and looked down at the boat. "So I'm still hoping we can see more of each other," he said smiling like a small child in a candy store.
