Sokka, Katara, Toph and I all stood behind Aang who was sat in the middle of a field with a flute in his hand.

"What's out here?" Sokka asked looking annoyed at the unnecessary distraction.

"A lot, actually." Toph bent down and placed her palm on the ground, "There are hundreds of little..."

"Shh!" Aang interrupted Toph. "I know you can see underground, but don't ruin the surprise. Just watch." Aang turned back around to the field and played a simple note on his flute.

Not a second later a small creature popped his head out of the ground and mimics the note Aang had played.

"Yeah!" Aang yelled excitedly, he quickly played a few more notes and more of the little critters sung along with him.

"I'm putting an orchestra together," Aang said happily still playing random notes here and there.

"What are they?" I asked katara as Foo Foo had suddenly begun to squirm and struggle in my arms, he wanted to chase the little creatures, but I was afraid he would end up hurting one.

"Groundhogs, I think" Katara replied while trying to help me restrain Foo Foo. "Maybe you should make a pouch, something that will keep him from running off, just until he gets a bit older and you have trained him a little bit?" Katara had suggested something like this before but I couldn't bring myself to keep him locked up, he was an animal, after all, he was born to be free. But he had already tried killing a few smaller animals before, though his training was going well he was still just a baby.

"Maybe you're right, will you help me make one?" I asked finally getting Foo Foo to settle down.

"Yeah of course." Katara smiled her warm motherly smile.

"Orchestra, huh? Well, la di da" Sokka said while waving his hands from side to side, but the Groundhogs popped out of their holes and mimicked him.

The whole group laughed at the little critters, well nearly everyone, Sokka just looked really unimpressed.

"This is great and all, but don't we have more important things to worry about? We should be making plans." Sokka said annoyed, but none of the others looked slightly worried.

"We did make plans, we're all picking mini-vacations" Toph stated.

"There's no time for vacations." Sokka was begging to raise his voice slightly and I could see the frustration in his eyes, I moved slowly to his side and took his hand.

"I think Sokka is right, we should be more focused on the war," I said, Sokka squeezed my hand and smiled.

"I'm learning the elements as fast as I can. I practice hard every day with Toph and Katara. I've been training my arrow off!" Aang said slightly annoyed.

"Yeah, what's wrong with having a little fun with our downtime?" Katara now stood next to Aang.

"Even if you do master all of the elements, then what? It's not like we have a map of the fire nation. Should we just head west until we reach the Fire Lord's house?" Sokka waved his hands in the air dramatically, his voice coated in sarcasm.

"Knock, Knock. Hello, Fire Lord? Anybody home?" Sokka knocked on an imaginary door, "I don't think so. We need some intelligence if we're going to win this war." Sokka crossed his arms and stood his ground, obviously he had made his point. He was right though, we didn't have any plans apart from Aang learning the elements.

Aang played his flute one more time, the Groundhog popped up under Sokka and played the low note before disappearing under the earth once again.

"All right, we'll finish our vacations, and then we'll look for Sokka's intelligence" Katara mocked Sokka, Aang and Toph laughed at her joke. But I simply kissed Sokka's cheek to stop him from starting another fight with his sister.
