I woke up sitting up, screaming. I covered my ears tightly, my eyes pinched shut without hesitation. I felt someone shaking me, it felt like more than one person though.

"Trix! Trix!" Johnny's faint shouting rang in my ears, trying to get me to do something. I shook my head, and kept my ears covered and my eyes shut. Pony pulled my hands away from my ears just enough to get a few words to register in my brain.

"It's alright, it was just a dream," he spoke softly, but that didn't stop me from shaking. I opened my eyes slowly. The gang stood around me, staring, just like in my dream. The only people missing were Curly and Tim. I closed my eyes tightly again.

"Stop staring at me, you're scaring me!" I slightly shouted. The tears from my dream must have been real, because I felt them drying on my cheeks. Another set of tears fell down my cheek quickly.

"Alright, alright," Pony said gently. I opened my eyes and looked at him, examining his face. He looked at me confused. "You alright?" I cupped his cheeks, feeling them. He was real at least. I sighed in relief, flopping my head gently on his shoulder. He looked around at the others, confused.

"Where is Curly? Tim?" I asked, keeping my eyes shut and my head on Pony's shoulder. He put a hand on my knee to comfort me a bit.

"They're at home, why?" Darry asked and I looked up at him, quiet for a moment while I made sure he was real as well. I shook my head, brushing it off.

"No, please tell us," Sodapop spoke, standing next to Dallas. I felt hurt about what they said, but at the same time, I was angry. I just rolled my eyes and looked away, out the window.

"What is wrong with you? Why are you mad at us?" Dallas asked. I looked at him. It suddenly dawned on me what they were talking about in my dream.

I looked at Darry. "Can I use your phone? Just for a few minutes?" He nodded and I got up, pushing through them and going to the phone on the wall. I grabbed it and started calling my mom's number, putting the phone to my ear. It rang, and rang, and rang.

The ringing never stopped.
