I didn't have to go anywhere. I just had nothing left to talk about, so I lied. I'm cowardous like that. How could you blame me, though? Admit it, it would have been awkward sitting there for someone to say something, after everything was said and done about our plan.
Anyways, I promised Grace that I'd tell her what was up with me and Elijah dating, so I have to call her.

"Nothing, haha. I wanted to tell you about today."
"Today . . . ?" She said as I imagined her putting her finger on her lip, looking up trying to remember like a cute anime character or something. She usually does that.

"OH RIGHT, ABOUT YOU DATING SOMEONE RIGHT? WHY?"
"I'm trying to make Caleb jealous."
"Really! How devious of you! But on a more serious note . . .

"Why not?"
"I asked first. Because that's conceited, don't you think? You said you'd move on. Focusing on making someone jealous or envious of you . . . is more trouble than it's worth. And it's not even positive. Or productive. It's not like . . . you."
