PREVIOUSLY . . .
I was completely unprepared. A hug is what I thought. I long one, like cute couples. He hadn't meant to do it, I could tell by the look of mild shock on his face and by his cheeks that flushed pink.
And we both pulled away instantaneously. I cup my mouth, and even though I'm totally mortified, beet red and all, I can't help but laugh really, really hard at myself. "Hehehe! You bastard!" I wipe a tear. My stomach hurts, I'm laughing so hard. "I-I'm sorry! Hahaha!"
"I-I didn't know-!~"
"Hey, it's okay! Go to class!"
"Okay!" His voice trembling and his legs wobbling, he took off to homeroom.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Penelope watching from behind a corner of a wall. Our eyes meet, and we both scowl at each other. She leaves, and I still hadn't realized what I had got myself into.
AND SO IT CONTINUES . . .
I walk into the classroom, and for whatever reason, my presence causes a bunch of giggles and whispers. I guess everyone saw what just happened. I laugh along with them, to help contribute to the thought that we are actually a couple. I see Grace out of the corner of my eye, giving me a thumbs up. I walk to my seat and excuse myself to the teacher.
The period went by as normally as it would everyday, except I felt more eyes on me than usual, you know? I suppose that was anticipated, and I don't really mind it. First period is English/Language Arts. I am in love with that subject. I love reading about it. I have a huge respect for writers and authors. Both take a certain amount of discipline that you're not going to find in just anybody. They both keep at writing their masterpieces. I guess it's the same with anyone else that has a craft they're passionate about. Which is why I feel kind of lame and stupid at times. I have nothing I'm good at.
Ah, how satisfying ~ the bell rang as soon as I put my pencil down. I had finished my assignment at the exact same moment.
"Please make sure your name is on your paper, I've had far too many papers I've thrown out because of that alone. Have a good day, class." She dismisses the class.
"This teacher is as enthusiastic as ever, am I right?" Grace snickers as we walk out of the classroom. "Also, that kiss earlier was pretty believable. Is he a good kisser? Ki ki ki ki~"
"Huh?! Why would I know? Why would you ask something like that?!"
"Oh, so it was, hmhm ~ and you would know, because you just kissed him. Stuupid. (lol)"
"You just . . . you embarrass me so much . . . "
"Adrian is really cute, you know! How you get all embarrassed like that." She puts he hand around my shoulder.
"What about Leon? What was that all about? That look you exchanged, how you skipped down the hall like idiots, what was that about, huh?"
"You seem flustered about it. We are going to get along just fine - oh, and that look was just us saying to each other that we should leave, to let you two do your thing, you know? I'm well aware that Adrian is a very bad girl, you just can't have people watching, because you have so much pride ~ !"
"Shut uuuppp! Please!"
"He has the same theory about you two as I do. God, he's funny, too!"
"I see. W-WAIT. What theory!?"
"Ah, you caught it. I was hoping you didn't hear it. Oh, looook! Class! Come on, it's time for class!"
