Hours later that day . . .
{5th period}
"I mean, I like gym, but ever since that one time in 7th grade wh-"
"Ohhh yyyeeeaaahhhhh! That one time when you fell on your face! That was so funny!" Grace gulps down her water, and it dribbles down her cheek.
"You really have no shame (lol...)"
"Why would I? I'm not gonna lie and say it wasn't funny, I still helped you up and it's not like I love you any less~"
"That's good to know."
"Adrian seems to have a mood today. Could it be . . ."
"Stop."
"That she wanted that kiss to be longer?"
"You irk me."
"Well, you are dating after all, it's only natural. ;D"
Damn. Put me in a trap. I can't say we're not dating, because we are, and that'd blow my cover if I said anything.
"Damn you."
"Love you~! Oh, want to go take a shower?"
"We could, but the showers are broken. I guess we can go wash our face."
"Okay! Comi-"
"President! We need you in the student council meeting room. Mr. Wilson wanted to ask you something about that hearing you wanted? He seems set off."
"W-What . . . ? OH NO! I forgot!? Dammnniiiiitt! Adrian, go by yourself. Shit, I'm in so much trouble . . . !"
"Don't make any excuses with him! Kiss up and he might let you off the hook easier, okay?" I advise Grace.
"Alright! Kiss up, no excuses - got it. Bye!" She paces out of the gymnasium. I do as she says and go to wash my face by myself. I jog to the nearest girls bathroom.
And stop everything at the sound of her voice.
I stop my loud breathing and listen.
"So, did you hear?"
It sounds like Penelope. I think.
"What?" She didn't sound annoyed or mad, just monotone, as she always does.
That's Vivian, for sure.
"That Adrian girl is going out with Elijah."
Shit. They're talking about me.
"Ew! Why?! He could do so much better."
Rude.
"I know right! My words exactly."
"Please, girls, calm yourself. I am taken back as well, because I was sure that he'd come running back. I see that's not the case . . . all the more reason why he will be mine again." Vivian sneered.
How petty. Yours? Last time I checked, he wasn't your property. I still listen.
"Sounds like you have a plan?" Penelope said.
"Hm. Maybe."
"I met her before she was a useless bitch. That, however, was in the golden age."
Was that supposed to be clever? What the fuck?
She says something else, but I wouldn't know, because . . .
Oh no! I have to sneeze!
"A-A-!!"
I desperately try to scatch my nose, to maybe stop the sneeze, but no such luck.
RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNN!
"A-ACHOO!"
FUCK!
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"Yeah, I heard. That sneeze."
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
"Was somebody listening just now?"
NOPE! NO ONE NO ONE WAS LISTENING NOPE NOPE NOPE
I run so fast. I'm not even sure where I went, I just went. I think I lost them . . . And I bump into someone.
I fall on top of them on accident.
"Oh! S-Sorry! Did I hurt you?"
"No, not at all."
I look up to see the beautiful Ana-Maria.
"ANA!"
"Who?"
"You!"
"You know my name?"
"Yes!"
"You're . . . you're that Deroy girl, correct?"
"So you know my name, too! Y-Yeah, uh, so I'm really curious about you. Why you've been confessed to so many times and you turn each one down, and how you're so academically advanced, and pretty much everything about you I find cool! I admire you . . . so, want to be friends?"
"Well, to all the confessions, for one, I am homosexual, so I have no interest."
Homo?
<333
"Reallly, now?"
"Yes . . . ? I have my sights set on a girl named Grace."
"IS THAT SO?" :D
I am a huge yuri, yaoi, BL, and ecchi fan. So this works perfectly.
"Yes. I am academically exceptional because I am. Same with sports. So now you know, and there will be no friendship involved."
"Hm, how sad. It is more fun to have friends. Plus, if you had been my friend, you would have had a chance to talk to Grace . . . almost everyday . . . "
"E-Eh!? W-" She blushed.
I stand up and wipe my clothes. "Ah, what a shame, I do ship you two . . . she is lesbian as well, so it is sort of perfect, you know, but I guess that will never happen. I will see you, th-"
"N-No! Wait!!"
"Hm?"
"Your idea is brilliant! Let us be friends!"
"Yes, but there are conditions."
"Huh?!?"
"We have to be real friends, and cherish each other. Deal?"
"Pfft. . . okay, fine."
"Wonderful! I'm so for this yuri route. You'll adore Grace once you get to talk to her! You think she's attractive, just you wait!!!!"
"Ah, also, what were you in such a hurry for earlier that you bumped into me?"
"Oh . . . long story."
"I see. Well, I really must be getting back to class, so I'll be off. Goodbye, Adrian Deroy."
"Just say Adrian!"
"Okay, Adrian. Bye."
And thats how we became friends! Through a bribe! Ain't it touching?
