It has been a week since Izuku found out the extent of his injuries. Luckily in that time the pros were able to rescue Bakugou back from the villains. Izuku also heard that some of his classmates had a role in that as well. Izuku wasn't surprised to hear this. He already believed that his classmates were far more capable heroes quit a few of the pros that were out there now.
Bakugou's rescue wasn't the only thing to happen ether. All Might faced off against All For One for the last time. In what was the most dangerous hero vs villain fight that the world has ever seen All Might came out victorious. Unfortunately during the fight his true form was exposed to the world. This along with finally using up all of his power All Might retired.
The way he retired though may have brought some hope to the citizens of Japan it brought more hope to its villains. Not only did they see that the number one hero was finished but they also saw that even he wasn't invisible. Already only a week later crime has risen quite a bit. The only reason it hasn't gone up any more was because of Endeavor. Say what you want about him but you can't deny that he is good at fight villains. He's not the best though.
It was at this point that Izuku knew he needed to be out there. He needed to be out on the streets fighting crime. This is when his city needed him the most and he was stuck in a hospital bed. Recovery Girl has come by to check up on him and heal him more. When she last visited Izuku though she made it quite clear that walking alone maybe near to impossible for him.
When Izuku got that news something in him changed. While on the outside no one, not even the girls or his classmates that came to see him could tell, it was there. They all thought he was just depressed, depressed at the news, something that they could help him get over. But Izuku wasn't depressed. If you looked into Izuku's eyes you would see that they were full of rage.
For as long as Izuku could remember life has constantly taken things from him. First it didn't let him have a quirk like the rest of the kids did. This made it hard for him to become a hero. Then it took away his father, the only one who believed in him since the beginning. Now life has taken away his ability to walk. After all his training, after every obstacle he overcame, life decided to screw him over one more time.
Another week passed and Izuku was still in the hospital. It was a different hospital though. They decided that Izuku was well enough to be moved to a hospital closer to his home. When he was moved the first person to great him other then the nurses was his mother.
Izuku's mom after hearing about his accident flew back to Japan. She would have been there sooner but Inko wanted to make sure she packed enough stuff so that she could stay with Izuku as long as she needed. When Inko first saw Izuku after getting back to Japan she knew she made the right choice. Seeing his face Inko knew that she was going to be staying for awhile.

Izuku: mom?

Inko: hi sweetie.

Izuku: what are you doing here?

Inko: what do you mean what am I doing here? My baby is hurt so of course I'm here.

Izuku was happy to see his mother again. He hadn't seen her since before the beginning of the school year. In fact the last time Izuku saw her might have been before he went to jail. Still even though he was happy to see her, Izuku was not happy for her to see him. Izuku didn't want his mother to see him in the state that he was in.

Izuku: you didn't have to come mom.

Inko: what are you talking about, of course I had to come. They told me about what happened and about your injuries so I had to be here for you.

Hearing about his injuries from his own mother Izuku couldn't help but turn and look away. Izuku didn't know why but he just didn't want to face his mother at this point. This was something that Inko managed to catch. Seeing this she gently put a hand on her son's cheek and turned him so that he looked right at her.

Inko: things are going to be ok sweetheart.

Izuku: no there not. Things are not going to be ok mom.

Inko: yes they are.

Izuku: how? How will things be ok? I can't walk mom and if I can't walk I can't be a hero. I can't keep my promise to dad. So how are things going to be ok?

Inko: because it's you Izuku.

Izuku: what?

Inko: ever since you were little when anything got in your way you figured out how to get past it. You were diagnosed as quirkless but that didn't stop you from trying to become a hero. The world has always put obstacles in your way and you always found a way around them. I have no doubt that you will find away around this one as well. And don't worry about your father. Since the moment you were born he was proud of you and I'm current that he still is even now.

Izuku didn't know what to say to that. His mom had always supported him but never like this. When he said he wanted to be a hero even without a quirk she supported him but Izuku was sure she was doubtful. But this, this was different. Izuku had never heard his mother talk like this before. She sounded so confident in his abilities.

Izuku: thank you.

Inko: You're welcome sweetheart. I love you so much.
