I AM BATMAN

Ch 23

It was now that time of the year, Halloween. Everyone was out and about doing what they do on this day. The parents were talking to there friends as there kids went up to the door to get candy. The teens were out causing mischief and scaring others who were out that night. Hero's walked the streets looking out for the people and making sure the stayed safe. But these weren't the only ones out tonight.
On a near by roof to sat to figures, one was the rabbit heroine Miruko, the other was the caped crusader Batman. The two sat perched on the edge of the building watching the people down below them. At first the sat in silence but that silence was eventually broken by Miruko.

Miruko: those heroes are fools standing out in the open on a day like this.

Miruko then looked over at Batman who was still silently watching over the citizens that were enjoying there night.

Miruko: do you know why that is?

Batman: on a night were people can dress up criminals can walk around freely without worrying about being caught. They can also keep an eye on the heroes and know a perfect time to strike.

Miruko: exactly, but it won't work because they don't know that we are here.

Batman just gave a small node as an acknowledgement to what Miruko was saying. It feel silent between the two again, nether one wanting to run the risk of missing something because the decided to talk. The silence was broken again however, but this time it was done by a scream. The scream seemed to be coming from an alley on a empty street just behind them.

Miruko: time to go to work.

Batman didn't say anything, instead he ran and jumped off the roof, free falling down the building. Once he reached a certain height Batman grabbed his cape and turned it into a glider. Using the momentum from the fall Batman flew threw the air like a creature of the night. He eventually made it to the alleyway and was about to go in.
Out of nowhere the girl that screamed came running out of the alley. And soon as she made it out she saw Izuku and knew he was a hero. She got behind him and yelled that the boogeyman was trying to get her. Batman didn't know about no boogeyman but he could see the fear in her eyes. He the grabbed his cape with one hand and put it in front of him to conseal his body, then with the other hand he pulled it back into the throwing position ready to launch the batarang he had in it.
After a little bit of time with no one coming out of the alley Batman but his batarang down and took a more relaxed stance. At this point Miruko finally arrived at the scene. She immediately checked on the girl to see if she was ok. But once that was down went to scolding Izuku.

Miruko: don't just run on ahead like that, you could have gotten yourself killed.

While Miruko was doing this Batman kept his eyes on the alley.

Batman: he's still in there.

Miruko: what?

Batman: he's still there.

Miruko: how can you tell, even with my rabbit ears I can't hear anything.

Batman: I can feel his bloodlust thinks to my training. His bloodlust reminds me of a predators, a hunters willing to sit in silence for months just to get his target.

Miruko: then lets go.

Miruko and Batman launched into the alley ready to bring down the criminal. When the got in there though the alley was completely empty. There was no signs of anyone being there.

Batman: he left, I don't feel his bloodlust anymore.

Miruko: come on we need to call the cops and wait for them to arrive.
