Ch 32

Izuku's eyes slowly began to open as he started to wake up. As his as were opening he was met with the site of the white ceiling of the hospital room that he was in. Confused by why he was here Izuku began to look around only for his eyes to stop on the person who was sleeping by his bedside.

Izuku: Rumi?

After seeing Rumi Izuku began to remember what happened the night before. He started to remember the Jokers hideout being the old ACE chemicals plant, the chase with the Jokers van, and the fight with the Joker that gave him his injuries that got him into the hospital. After remembering everything that had happened Izuku leaned back it the hospital bed as a small smile appeared on his face.

Izuku mind: we got him dad, we did it.

Izuku then looked back a Rumi who was leaning on the side of his bed sleeping soundly.

Izuku mind: I must have worried her, I really need to stop doing that but that comes with the job of being a hero. If you're a good hero you are always in danger no way around it but still......

Izuku then puts his had on Rumi's and when she felt this she began to wake up. As Rumi woke up she looked towards the past out Izuku only to see that he was awake and giving her a tired but relaxing smile.

Izuku: good morning Rumi.

Rumi: Izuku?

Rumi was still asleep a little bit but when her brain full registered everything she shot wide awake and actually jumped at Izuku and wrapped him in a bear hug.

Rumi: IZUKU!!!

Izuku hugged Rumi back.

Izuku: you know Rumi we really should stop ending are missions together with me in the hospital.

Rumi then let's go of Izuku and smacks him across the head.

Rumi: AND WHO'S FAULT DO YOU THINK THAT IS!!!

Izuku rubbing the side of his head with his hand.

Izuku: fair enough but at least we managed to get him right?

Rumi then calmed down and sat next to Izuku with a worried look on her face.

Rumi: yes we did, that maniac will be put away for a long time but that doesn't mean I want to see you like this in order to get people like him put behind bars.

Rumi was now starting to get a saddened look on her face.

Rumi: I know that you are going to end up fighting stronger opponents down the road but if this is what happens to you when you fight someone like him then I.......

Izuku: Rumi.

Rumi the looked up from her lap that she has been looking at the whole time she was talking and face towards Izuku who had a comforting looking on his face.

Izuku: I'm not going to give up on being a hero and being a hero without a quirk means that I can't promise you that I won't get hurt.....

Rumi: I know that but.....

Izuku: but I can promise you that I will get stronger, I'll keep training till I'm one of the best so that I will get hurt less often then I am now.

Rumi went back to looking down at her lap.

Rumi: that really doesn't change anything or clam my nerves.
