Summer quickly turned into fall as the new school year started. The Ministry had gotten worse. Arthur, Tonks, and Tiberius had continued working there as they needed to seem as normal as possible, but it was hard, especially when there had been a Ministry break-in. Just before it had happened, Remus had tried to get information out of the three Gryffindors, only to go back to the Burrow furious at what Harry had said. As much as Kei attempted to console him, it was no use.

All Remus told them was what the Order already knew: Harry, Ron, and Hermione were completing a secret mission Dumbledore had given them before he was killed. Their mouths were shut tight, not allowing any information to be let out. And after the Ministry break-in, there were no signs of the mischievous trio anywhere in sight. They had fallen off the face of the Earth despite them officially being Unspeakables.

Due to the fact that Ron Weasley was seen in the Ministry, his entire family was put on red alert. The Weasleys had to be hidden– Arthur tried his hardest to keep going to his job, after the incident, but the pressure the Ministry was placing on him caused the entire family to go into hiding. Tonks, being married to a "half-breed" and being pregnant with his child, had to also stop going to work and was put into hiding. Tiberius was the last one working, being he wasn't an Unspeakable, related to one, or affiliated with the Order.

Tiberius and Kei continued to live in Alastor's house. A Fidelius charm had been put over the home, the Floo Networks closed off, and all kinds of wards were placed to make sure he and Kei were safe and hidden. Just before Christmastime, Bill's Patronus came to the house and found Kei alone— he told them of how Ron had come to him; no one was meant to know unless necessary. Kei felt some kind of relief and gratitude that Bill had confided in her and let her know that one of the children she cared for was all right.

It wasn't until mid-January that anything interesting happened to the pair. They had kept quiet, their nose out of anything suspicious, and mainly played the part of gold-star wizarding citizens. Tiberius had come home to see Kei absolutely furious and exhausted.

"What happened?" Tiberius said, noting their anger.

Although Kei had decided to not work in the Ministry, the girl found a job at St Mungo's, healing magically harmed witches and wizards. Though it wasn't what they had wanted to do with their life, it gave them some peace in knowing they'd be able to help out during the war instead of hiding away like a frightened puppy.

"The wizarding world is horribly corrupt," Kei shrieked, throwing her book down. "Not only am I running thin helping everyone out— there aren't nearly enough mediwitches— but also the fact that I am meant to help everyone who comes through St Mungo's doors! It doesn't matter what side they are on, if they are in a cot in front of me, I am meant to help them."

Tiberius nodded, not fully understanding Kei's fury, "well. . . yes. But that's your—"

"Tiberius, I very well know what my job is," she snapped, "but I cannot stand to- to treat someone who bears the mark! I couldn't refuse— Madam Alesemond was standing directly behind me! She saw the entire thing and then had the audacity to say 'Miss Higgs, are you not going to give him Wiggenweld?'!"

"The mark? As in—"

"Yes! The Dark Mark— Voldemort's dark—"

And in their heated fury, Kei had said the name they were warned to not say. That was why so many of the Order members went into hiding. Voldemort's name was jinxed. Anyone who said it was put on trial for daring to say his name. It was considered a crime to call the evil wizard anything but The Dark Lord.

Due to the Fidelius and Anti Apparation charm placed on the house, the spawned Death Eaters couldn't get in nor find the pair. Tiberius slowly and carefully moved towards the window to see four or five hooded men standing around, looking at the area. Kei clasped her hand over her mouth in pure regret as she realized the predicament she had put them in. The two had been so good at staying hidden and unknown, not daring to talk about Voldemort— more or less saying his name, that Kei felt her heart drop at the vast mistake.
