Chris

Since the day that Stacy left me standing in the front yard at my place, I haven't been able to think straight. I haven't been able to get the look on her face out of my head. She looked so damn vulnerable, and scared. Did I scare her? I know I wasn't aggressive in anyway. All I know is she has got me worried.

To top it off Lucas has been dealing with his sister being sick, and I have tried to be there for my friend. I feel like I am being pulled in so many different ways that I am drained.

"Hey man"

I turn around and see Lucas walking towards me as I get a bottle of water. I know where Lucas is Jaxon isn't far behind. I know they're keeping it on the down low, they don't have to worry about me saying anything. Hell most of the boys know but don't mention it. It's their business when they are ready, then people will know.

"Hey Luke. How's Kayla?"

He sighs as he sits down at the table. Jaxon walks in and nods his head, but his eyes go straight to Lucas. When he sees the look on his face, he is right there next to him.

Man I wish I had someone like that. But the damn woman I can't stop thinking about wants nothing to do with me. Maybe it is for the best.

"Stubborn, pigheaded but a real damn trooper." He gives a small smile.

"Yeah I'm still waiting for the stories she was going to tell me."

Lucas glares at him and I laugh.

"Oh I have some stories I can tell." Jaxon perks up, rubbing his hands together like he hit the jackpot. Lucas growls at me, "Don't forget I have some on you too." I shrug my shoulders, "Like I care Luke. Hell I embarrass myself pretty much on a daily basis."

"Please do tell." Jaxon looks like he is ready to bounce out of his seat.

"Well there was this one time when we had our first drinks together."

"Christopher I'm warning you." Lucas starts to get out of his seat but Jaxon holds him in place.

"Jaxon don't!"

"Oh come on!" Jax whines.

I continue anyways. "He got wasted off of two beers and one shot of tequila."

"So did you."

"Yeah but I wasn't making out with someone." I swear I hear Jaxon growl and Lucas chuckles. "But I didn't throw up all over the poor girl." I look at Jaxon. "He barely was done kissing her when he puked everywhere. If he kissed her one more second it might have been in her mouth." We all cringe at that, then Jaxon busts up laughing while Lucas blushes bright red with embarrassment. "The poor girl screamed and cried like a banshee, saying her first kiss was ruined."

After our laughter dies down, Jaxon wipes a tear from his eye. "Don't worry Lucas I heard some about Jaxon too. Jaxon's face turns white. "You really didn't think Mama Reynolds didn't tell us some stories."

"Shit" he says under his breath and gets up to charge after me, but when I turn the corner I stumble into the one person avoiding me.

"Son of a bitch." I catch her before she falls on her ass. When she looks at me so many emotions cross her face. Then her face hardens. "Watch where you're going jack ass." I pull her up and move away quickly like I just got burned.

Lucas and Jaxon stop short when they see the hard glares we send each other.

"Why don't you guys get along?"

"She's impossible!"

"He's a jack ass!" We say at the same time.

I throw my hands up in the air. "Whatever I'm out. I don't need this shit anymore." I give her one last look before I start to leave but Jaxon calls out to me. "Hey Chris, Kylie has been asking about you. What should I tell her?" I'm done playing these games with her. I was hoping we could be friends but apparently not.

"Tell her to give me a call." I walk away without looking back and head towards my room. I slam the door shut and take off my shirt. Suddenly I feel extremely hot. I don't hear the door open but I felt the shove against my back.

"What the fuck was that?"

I turn around and glare at her.
"What do you want Stacy?"

"Why are you acting like that towards me?"

"Are you fucking serious? I swear one minute you are hot and the next you are cold. So which one is it now?"

"I-I.."

I sit on my bed and cover my face with my hands. "Just go Stacy. I'm fucking tired, so just go alright."

I hear her gasp, "So you are just giving up on me like everyone else?"

I snap my head up at her and her eyes turn dark.

"Well fuck you! I don't need you or anyone!"

I stand up and stalk towards her, and she backs up until she is against the wall.

"You really just want to push everyone away don't you. You're going to end up being alone miserable bitch."

She raises her hand to slap me, but I catch her wrist. "You fucking jack ass! What about you huh!" She pushes at my chest as I let her wrist go.

"You're waiting for miss perfect to come along. Well newsflash no one is fucking perfect."

I shake my head and laugh, this woman drives me fucking insane. But doesn't stop me from wanting to kiss her again and I curse her for that.

"I don't want someone fucking perfect. I want someone who challenges me, and drives me crazy at the same fucking time. But most of all I want my fucking friend back! Apparently that's not going to happen! So please get the hell out!"

"Chris!" Her voice softens but I just turn my back towards her.

"No Stacy! I feel something and I know you do too. But more importantly I just want to be your friend again. I really did miss our friendship, we were close before." I shake my head and clench my hands into fists. "Doesn't matter anymore."

I'm a coward because I can't even look at her.

"I feel the attraction Stacy but if you said friends only then I would be okay with that. Because I know it would never work."

I finally turn around, but when I look she is no longer there. I honestly don't know if she heard all that or not. I meant every word I said to. If she only wanted to be friends, then I would have to get over this. Whatever the hell it is I am feeling towards her.
