Their Reaction To You Dying In Their Arms

Tanjirou Kamado

He just won't let go. Someone would actually have to tear you from his arms to get you away and even then, he'll fight to get you back. He doesn't want to move on just yet snd he wishes time would just halt so he can grieve just a little longer. The only one who can get you out of his arms with success is Nezuko, and that is no better than him because all she wants is to mourn her best friend.

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu bursts into tears and shakes from the experience. To be honest, I think that's the thing that breaks him completely. He probably won't continue being a demon slayer after that.

Inosuke Hashibira

He just won't believe that you're gone. He'll shake you wildly, for hours until his arms are burning and people are trying to rip you out of his hands. He'll scream at them, yelling that you aren't dead and that you were just unconscious. 

The only reason he isn't breaking down is that he refuses to accept your passing.

"No! She-she- she'll be fine, right? She's just lost a lot of blood. Dont worry, (y/n), I'll make sure you're ok"

Genya Shinazugawa

The only reason he'd leave your body would be to gun down whoever killed you. After that, he'd weep over you, wail like a child, rocking back and forth and cradling you to his chest. 

He will cry until he just physically can't make any sound. The only way he'd let go of you is after collapsing from dehydration. 

Pillars

Giyu Tomioka

He tries to hold himself together but as soon as he's alone, he'll rush into the bathroom and vomit until he can't anymore. He'll clean his skin so thoroughly during showers that it turns red and scratchy at times.

He almost didn't go to your funeral because he didn't think he could look your grandfather in the eyes after he promised he would take care of you forever.

Kyoujouro Rengoku

He tried his best to save you- to cauterise as many of your wounds as he could. That's the part he has trouble with. He now suffers from PTSD because of his guilt and most nights he wakes up in a cold sweat, hearing your pained yelps and screams as he burned you.

You still died though, and he knows that the last thing you probably felt was pain- inflicted by him.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

He silently kisses your forehead before burying you. Then he'll go home and scream so loud everyone else can hear it. He'll do it for hours until he can't speak or until Genya tries to get him to stop.

Muichiro Tokito

He really wishes he could forget you but he knows that thinking that is so disrespectful. He sees you everywhere and sometimes he hugs his pillow on nights that seem too long, pretending that it's you like before.

Shinobu Kocho

She's angry. At herself and at the world. She tried everything, gave you everything she could think of but nothing seemed to work. It was like fate just decided that today she would lose the only person she had left.

She thought of self-medicating to try and get over you but she thought better of it, knowing it would only lead to problems

Mitsuri Kanroji

She is so stricken with grief that she fainted with you in her arms. When she came too, she sobbed until her pillows were damp through.

She definitely talks to herself as if you're there, hoping that is spirits are real, you are one.

Obanai Iguro

He didn't really know how to process it so he tried and tried to ignore the pain until someone actually screamed at him.

"How are you so- so ok? Didn't you love her??"

Then it all set in. He fell to the floor and cradled his knees to his chest and yanked on his hair, hoping to dull the pain of his existence- solitary and without a trace of you left.

Demons

Muzan Kibutsuji

He rampages. Everything he sees will die and especially what killed you. Then he'll come back to lay beside you, just looking at you, almost pretending you were alive- just sleeping.

Yushiro

He scours book after book for ideas on how to bring back the dead. He goes full-on Victor Frankenstein, keeping you in some magical preserving box until he found a way to bring you back.

Nezuko Kamado

Just tears. No anger, and no need to act. She just wants to be with you, be sure that you're gone and that she won't miss your last breath or blink.

Upper moons

Douma

He would eat you. His emotions slowly began to melt away again and all he could think about was how he wanted- needed- to be closer to you. 

He talks to himself as if you are now part of him, a new colour added to his eyes.

Akaza

He pays his respects to tradition, burying you where you wanted, sending you off with loving words of assurance that he'll come soon.

Then, he'd hunt them down.

Kokushibou

He wants to cry, but he also knows that upper moon one shows no sign of weakness. He's forced to leave you there, lifeless and so, so cold against his departing hands.

He'd come back for you later but no you are so cold and stiff that he knows there was no coming back from that.

He wants to hold you in his arms once again, warm you back to life and feel your breath on his neck. The thought that you never will- it makes him cry.
