Snow outside of Doncaster was a beautiful thing to Louis. He watched with a hot cup of tea as his sisters played around in the snow with the little ones.
It warmed his heart to see them all together. But there was always that pull of missing important people who he adores so much.
Pulling him out of his thoughts, a small smile appeared on his lips when he heard familiar footsteps. "Morning sunshine."
"Hi." Harry curled behind him, arms circling around his waist while he hooked his chin over his shoulder and lovingly kissed his neck
"How'd you sleep?"
"Mmm, lovely. Just a tad cold without you. Missed you when I woke up. Restless?"
"Yea." He didn't say anything else. It went silent after a couple of minutes, but Harry didn't push. He knew Louis needed his time before he spoke his mind. "I um, I just....I wish she'd let me bring him here at least one fucking Christmas. So he can see where and what I grew up with. Get to know where mum raised us."
His blue eyes watered as he looked down at his tea. Harry sighed squeezing him tight. "I know baby. And he will know. You'll see him for the New Year right? And you're FaceTiming him today yea? He understands Lou. Freddie's older now."
Sighing, he sniffles taking a sip of his tea. "Yea, I guess."
Harry kisses his temple, hands soothing his warm skin under his jumper. "It's not just Freddie is it?"
A grimace formed over his features. He shook his head, not wanting to voice it out loud. So he changes the conversation instead. "Umm, we're going down to your mums tomorrow though right?"
His eyes water even more when Harry turns him around and tilts his chin up to look at him. "I've actually asked them to come down so we can celebrate with everyone. But hey, if you're not feeling up to anything, we can-
"No, it's fine. I'm sure me nan is excited to see Anne. Plus, I love them. I need them, more than ever."
Humming, Harry kisses his forehead, then hugs him tight. "We all need you Lou. I need you. And she's so dam proud of you baby. I know it. They both are."
Biting his lip, he buries his face in Harry's neck, tears staining his lovers chest. "I love you."
"And I love you. Happy birthday boo."
"Thank you sunshine."
"Lou! Lou, look at the twins' snow angels! Don't they look cute." he sniffles and wipes at his eyes, then turns to see his twin sisters pointing out the window
Lottie is taking pictures of the youngest on the snow having the time of their lives.
Daisy walks over and sets a hand on his shoulder, "You okay?"
"I'll go help your nan with breakfast. Call you when it's ready." Harry kisses him quickly, then walks off leaving the twins to speak with their older brother
Louis sets his tea down and looks at them. Same eyes, same heart, all her. All of them got the best of her.
He smiles taking a seat at the couch, "I'm fine girls. Just.....miss mum and Fizz, s'all."
