It felt cold. Everything was dark. Even if he had arms around him, even if people apologized, it was something that he couldn't get rid of. Too many things at once come crashing down and start to break you, so eyes become distant and alone.
"Mr Tomlinson? Did you hear me?" he snaps out of it and looks up from the corner of the room to meet eyes with the Dr.
Harry stands up from his spot beside him and addresses him. Thank god for Harry
"He's just in a bit of a shock, why don't you speak to me instead. I'm his husband, I know him pretty well." the doctor nods and shows him out along with Dan
Louis stares at her figure on the bed, the noise of the nurses taking out the equipment not breaking his concentration.
Remember, i'll always be there for all of you. You're the strongest my boy, and you have to lead your siblings into a better life. I trust you.
He wipes a tear and finally stands up, his sister turn to look at him
"Why don't you all go home. Dan, Harry and I will take care of things here. Danielle, go on with them please. Watch over Ernie and Doris. I'll have Preston take care of the media for now." they all look like they wanted to protest but Louis gave them a hard stare and decided to follow his orders instead
He sighs as they all walk out and then walks out himself to find Dan and Harry
"And everything will be covered- oh Mr Tomlinson. My deepest condolences." he nods sympathetically and then walks away
"What did he say?" Dan clears his throat and sighs
"Papers are all done, they'll be here soon."
"I told Tommy and Danielle to take the girls and the twins home. You should go too, Harry and I can stay here." Dan shakes his head
"I'm going to be here. But for now i'll go grab us something to eat." he walks off and Louis turns to Harry who immediately hugs him
"Are you okay? You need anything?" he sighs weakly and looks up at him
"Clothes from home, tea, my black suit, Georgie. And the media handled." he bites his lip and hopes it's not too much to ask of his husband. But because he has the most understanding beautiful one, he smiles lightly when be says yes
"Of course, i'll take care of it all. You stay here and call me for anything else okay." Louis shakes his head and hugs him tighter
"No, stay with me. Please H." Harry closes his eyes and kisses his forehead
"Ok, it's okay. I'll stay. I can have Mike get your stuff and Preston take care of the media. But I will go down the street to get you a tea because the ones here suck. Don't tell Dan. I'll be back in five minutes okay?" the blue eyed lad nods lightly and watches him walk away after a soft kiss
