March 29th, 2023 London, England

The rain splattered against the windows of the dark SUV making it's way through the busy London streets. Clouds of smoke escaped the little crack left opened just for release of tension and worries.

After weeks of promotion for his documentary, flying from LA to Mexico City, Louis was exhausted. But what made him feel more out of touch was the lack of his husband's presence. It had been a whirlwind of texts, FaceTiming, and calls for weeks. He missed him so fucking much. And they both agreed to take April off to reconnect and spend as much time as they could together before going off to do it all over again.

A honk brought him out of his trance and he threw the cigarette bud out of the window. He sighed leaning back against the seat and watched as the driver navigated them to the outskirts of London.

"Twenty minutes out Louis."

He hummed in response before leaning his head back against the headrest and closed his eyes. A small nap will do him good.

Air breezed through his fringe and he couldn't help but sigh in blissfulness. This was the kind of calm he hoped for but with Harry at his side. These car rides from wherever destination he was coming from or going to, they were the ones he looked forward to. It drowned out screams, questions, flashes, pain, everything.

Minutes later, he groaned at the sound of a car door being shut. His door opened causing his eyes to open slowly, adjusting to the view. JD stood with an umbrella held out ready for him to step out.

Rubbing his hands down his face, he took a minute or two before climbing out. Angelo handed him his bag and they walked beside him up to the front door.

As soon as he opened it, Clifford was barking up a storm jumping up and down as he made his way through. "Hey champ. How are ya? Missed you yea. C'mere."

The dog excitedly licked at Louis' cheek causing him to chuckle and nuzzle his nose into the dark curly hair.

He heard footsteps coming down the stairs and his eyes lifted to watch his husband make his way with a smile on his beautiful face.

"Well look who's home."

Getting to his feet, Louis patted Clifford's head before walking over to Harry circling his arms around his neck. "Hey sunshine. Thought you were flying in later."

Harry dipped in for a soft lingering kiss before setting their foreheads against the other. "Mmm, I was. But I made Ems figure it all out for me to get here before you. Had to be here first to see your handsome face come in. El was here, told her she could go out and have her time."

Grinning, Louis leaned in for another kiss before sighing happily. "I'm so glad to fucking see you. Missed you so much."

He smiles as strong arms circle around him, his cheek pressed to the sound of the heart beating only for him. "I missed you too Lou. So much."

They stay like that for a while just breathing each other in. Then Harry looks up at the two men standing by the door. "JD, Angelo. Thank you for bringing him home. Are you staying the night?"
