This book will explore the topics of homosexuality, transgenderism, and related matters as they pertain to the community, particularly in relation to the Orthodox Church. My approach will not be confined solely to Scripture; rather, I will draw upon Holy Tradition and contemporary ecclesiastical writings to provide a comprehensive perspective. In doing so, I will engage with arguments that challenge the Church's position, examine the scriptural foundations of that stance, and present certain personal reflections which I will clearly distinguish as my own opinions.
I am fully aware that this subject has already been discussed extensively on Wattpad with numerous works addressing it—particularly from a biblical standpoint. Many have shared their personal journeys, their conclusions, and their experiences; others have written in defence of same-sex relationships and gender transitions, asserting that these do not constitute sin. My purpose in contributing to this discourse is not to repeat what has already been said, but rather to offer insight into the life of my Church and her teachings on these matters.
Thus, while elements of apologetics will inevitably be present in my writing, my primary aim is to expound upon the beliefs and traditions of the Orthodox Church.
Rules on Comments
I. Regardless of personal views on the content—whether in the book itself or in the comments—aggression will not be tolerated. This is not a battleground, but a space for courteous discussion.
II. To prevent misunderstandings of tone and to maintain civility, profanity will not be permitted. I understand that strong emotions may arise, but venting frustration through coarse language will not be allowed.
III. Comments should generally relate to the chapter in question rather than pre-emptively introducing arguments that may be addressed later. While I will not delete such comments, I will not engage in prolonged debate over them. Instead, I will direct readers to relevant sections of the book. Should recurring questions arise, I will compile a FAQ at the end of the book.
IV. Patience is appreciated. This is a new undertaking for me, and I have commitments beyond Wattpad that may, at times, delay the publication of chapters or articles.
