SECTION 9: Use the Help Guide
Please use the Wattpad help guide. It's there for a reason! If you get confused about something, just do some research in there. Trust me, it will always help you out. If you're help-forum challenged (it happens), then by all means, post the question in a group forum or ask a friend. Just don't go by without finding out the answer!
I go in the help section sometimes just to see what tips I can find. Such as the 'What's Hot' list. I recently answered someone in a forum group post because they were wondering how to get on the WH list. I, of course, had no clue either but wanted to help. I also noticed my story, His Mistress-Slave, make it's way mysteriously onto this list. How did it get there? What did I do? I still have no clue...
So I killed two birds with one stone! I researched the answer, got together the best information I could find, and posted it as a reply in the forum. Now I'm satisfied that at least 2 other people besides me know the full answer to this question. And while I wasn't focusing on trying to get another fan or any such nonsense, by helping each other out, the other person actually ended up liking my story and fanning me. I, in return, checked out their page and really enjoy their work, so I also fanned them.
We're a community of people. Always be genuine in helping others and you'll be surprised by the outcome of the interaction! I really enjoy taking other people under my wing. Going the extra mile to help someone out. It's all just a small part of who I am. (My dad always calls me his 'teacher'. I personally don't see it... *wink*)
