sitting here,
on the same beach
that george's body
washed up to shore on.

dream's staring upon the sky
looking at stars,
because it's dark out.

and he's staring upon the same sky,
him and george
would point out constellations at,
laying in the grass
in that rough forest,
behind dream's house.

where the sticks,
poked their backs.
where the grass,
was so tall.
where the rabbits,
would poke their heads out
of the bushes
and scare george.

he'd cling to dream's shirt,
hiding his face
beneath its fabric.
afraid,
that it might be a scary creature
but dream always assured him,
that it was only a rabbit
and that's when george calmed down.
but for some unknown reason,
he always kept holding on
to dream.

was always so near to him
and never let him go.
he never let him out of sight,
george followed dream everywhere
even if it was only a few centimeters away
he always,
had to come with.

he was always so afraid
of the things they couldn't see
behind the tall trees
and bushes.
frightened by the creepy noises
of nature
and it's darkness.

george was scared of the dark,
oddly enough
because they always slept
outside in the treehouse
together.

and george would hold on to dream
so tightly.
hoping he'd take
all his fear away
hoping,
dream would protect him
because he trusted him a lot
with his life.

but dream took full responsibility
to care for him,
and help him feel safe
dream,
was george's protector.
his hero.

he didn't mind
one bit,
being george's person
of comfort.

george's superhero,
only without a cape
and no superpowers.

he didn't wear costumes
or masks
to hide his identity.

instead,
george's superhero wore plain tees
and sweatpants.
with fluffy blonde hair
that flowed in the wind.
green eyes like grassy meadows.
with the most beautiful shining light,
hidden beneath them.
he had a spark in his eyes constantly
when he was around george.
he'd light up,
the second he saw him.

and when george smiled,
it was like the whole world
fell into place
for dream.

it was like the stars had aligned
and the world
was no longer a bad place.

like crime no longer existed
and the evil in the world
was just gone.

it was like
heaven on earth.
walking on feathers
and skipping through fields
with tall sunflowers growing
and peering over
the dull color
of the world.

but the sunflowers,
were vibrant
not dull.
they stood out
and made an appearance.

two sunflowers,
growing right next to each other
learning to live
and learning
how to flourish.
together.

because they were stuck
by each other
with no way to pull apart.

glued together,
and made for one another
they were supposed
to stay right next to eachother.

dancing in the sun
and beaming with pure happiness
and beauty.

letting their hearts free
and their souls collide
as they learn how to love
and how to be happy.

they learn,
to accept the world
even with its flaws
and mishaps.

they thrived off of eachother.
shared a root,
that sent water
up their stems
allowing them to become bigger
and stronger.
