Chapter 21

I walked downstairs and was greeted by Jake in hallway

'hello gorgeous' He said kissing me on the cheek. He was so sweet. We walked into the living room and reece protectively slung his arm around my waist, pulling me into him.

'Rae come with me for a sec' Tom said coming up to me, looking kind of blank and concerned. I took his hand and followed him into the kitchen. 

'I don't know if I should be showing you this first, but my mate sent me this..' He said handing me his phone

A dark video was paused on the screen, I hesistated to click play. When I finally did, I began to see Jack's face emerge on the screen

'i'll fucking smash her, I'm gonna fucking rip her hair out, She has is coming now' he said as boys laughed around him. 

I suddenly felt the fear growing in my stomach. Tom put his hand on mine and looked me in the eyes. 'We won't let them hurt you, okay?'

I nodded, knowing there was nothing he could really do if jack came looking for me. 

'Listen tom, don't show the others this okay? I know this is pretty seirous but they'll go mental and he was probably just drunk' I said handing the phone back. I was fucking terrified but I didn't want to cause anyone anymore hastle. I felt like I'd been so attention seeking recently. 

Tom nodded, rubbed my back supportively and walked out. I turned to the fridge and took out 3 freshly poured shots and downed them. 

'Woah there' I heard reece say, 'going hard already' he continued coming closer. I didn't want to look him in the face because I knew he would be able to tell something was wrong. I just hugged him tight and left the room.

People began piling in and eventually the house was way more packed than a 'small get together'. I twitched constantly, looking around for jack. I was so paranoid. At about 2am I slipped out of my heels and picked them up and began to walk out to the stairs. As I came out of the living room I saw Jack and about six of his friends standing in the doorway. He saw me and pointed to his friends and suddenly began rushing towards me. Scared and drunk, I stupidly ran upstairs, alone as opposed to where the boys were. They followed me up, I dont think anyone even noticed as the music was so loud and everyone was so drunk. When i reached my room I slammed my door and fumbled with the lock, when I could hear him coming closer I stopped and reached for my phone. My fingers stumbled on the screen as I tried to click on reece's number. Before I knew it, He was in front of me, Grinning down and laughing slightly. My body froze. I didn't know what to do, no one would hear me if i screamed. 

He approached me slowly and without warning punched me in the face. I collapsed on the ground as him and his six friends surrounded me and began kicking me in all places. When I stopped fighting and was limply lying on the floor, they ran out. I lay there for a long time, in silence, in pain. I felt tears slowly slide down my face. It felt like hours I was alone, not able to move, left alone with my faint thoughts. 

Eventually I heard footsteps come up the stairs and my heart began to pound and I was scared it was Jack back for more. The door opened slowly and I heard reece's voice.

'Babe are you sleeping?' He asked in a half whisper voice. With no reply he turned on the lights and in horror saw me sitting in a pool of blood on the floor. He screamed down stairs, so loud that the boys came running up. He rushed to my side, not knowing how to touch me. Casey and Barclay came panting in the door way and casey's eyes grew big. 

'BARCLAY CALL AN AMBULANCE NOW NOW NOW NOW' 

barclay began on his phone. I drifted off at that point not remembering anything else. The next thing that comes to mind is waking up in the hospital, cold, depressed and alone.
