🐈‍⬛ POV

"What?? Are you serious?"

"Totally serious!" I was talking with Alya, who was conveniently hanging with Marinette at my- our!- house, while I was painfully working away at my desk. "She definitely has a thing for Chat Noir again. I think she got a memory of him- well, you.- that was most likely very sweet." she paused for a tad moment, "She also remembered that you used to call her princess. Agreste, I think she needs to meet Chat Noir again."

"How the hell am I supposed to do that?!" I hissed between my teeth. "Alya, it's not like there's a Chat Noir costume laying in my closet." I wasn't lying. Although I loved being Chat Noir, I could barely look at the costume without getting a heart attack. Yes, an actual heart attack.

"Adrien.." she groused. "We're both not stupid. The quote-on-quote kwamis are still magical, even if they're human now. Remember when you told me Plagg nearly disintegrated you by saying his all time famous quote?"

"Even they didn't know.." I hummed.

"Adrien, think about it like this; she'll love you at your best again. You won't need to hide behind an invisible mask again. I don't want you to hide behind one again."

"Alya.."

"Agreste, remember how happy you used to be? You can be that happy again." she pleaded. "Do it for Marinette. She's starting to fall for Chat Noir, but not Adrien. This is your chance to make a whole new start."

I opened by mouth to argue, but I clamped it shut.

"Yeah.." I said, "I'll think about it."

I could hear her practically smile through her cheerful tone. "Please! Okay, au revoir, blondie." I pulled the phone away from my face and watched her hang up.

I put my phone front-faced down.

I sighed deeply.

"Chat Noir! Over here!"

"So tonight, You get to be my Ladybug."

"Chat Noir, your stick, like this."

"Good thinking!"

"Yeah.. I'm a genius."

The way I had swiftly moved my arm around my waist was not at all friendly. The intimacy was so recognizable, yet neither of us were able to see it. That was until, Marinette thanked him for saving her with a kiss (on the cheek, don't even; theyre french for lords sake😭). His entire being reacted that was not at all a serene reaction.

"Thank you for saving me, Chat Noir.."

"Y..yeah! N-No problem!"

He loved her. The flawed side of her, that is.

But she forgot all that.

And it was his fault.

I'm such a knucklehead.. I exhaled dolefully.

"Plagg! We need to test something!" I yelled, only to immediately hear; "Right here, kid." I swiveled around and saw him. "Is transforming really a good idea, Adrien? We have never tried it."

"Well it's now or never."

It worked.

Transforming actually worked.

The costume was.. different, for sure. Maybe because I've matured. Sort of. But there was a lot of similarities, as well. The bell was still the same, this costume just had a lot more details.
