🌸 POV

As I laid down on the guests bed— or I guess I should say my bed— I felt lonely. I was staring up at my ceiling trying to figure out why I felt so intolerable in this congenial feeling bed.

Maybe I was too hot, or too cold.

Maybe the bed isn't as soft as I think it is.

Maybe there isn't enough pillows.

Maybe I can't find a good enough spot to sleep in.

Maybe I couldn't find the long side to my blanket.

I sighed. It was no use. I should just try to go to sleep.

I shifted around in the bed before I finally found a place to where I could drift off to sleep.

"Nino! Did you loose the frisbee?" Adrien barked, laughing.

"No, I didn't, I swear!" he cried out, frantically running around the park, searching every place he went.

Alya cocked an eyebrow, "We gonna tell him that the frisbee is in my hands or are we just going to tease him?"

Marinette and Adrien looked at each other with equally amused smiles.

She chuckled. "I guess that's a no."

She giggled at her best friend, then couldn't help but look at Adrien fondly.

Yet guilt tore her insides.

Every time she looked at Adrien like she was in love with him, a certain black cat entered her thoughts, and how she broke his heart.

Again.

Of course, she didn't mean to. But she came off so harsh and rude when he offered her another flower. All he was doing was offering her a yellow flower.

A yellow flower symbolizes friendship, and she had rejected it.

What a friend I am.. her thoughts trailed off, only to see the cheeky grin of Adrien Agreste looking back at her.

He reminded her so much of her kitty, and loved that side of him way more than the "perfect model boy".

He acted just like Chat Noir.

That's mean an unusual rebought creeped into her mind:

Do I like Chat Noir?

It wasn't impossible, but was it possible for her to like someone she barely knew?

Marinette barely knew Adrien when she started to like him, she realized.

Oh no.

She likes him and she broke his heart.

Idiot! she screamed at herself.

"Are you okay, Marinette?" Adrien asked sweetly, breaking Marinette out of my freak-out.

"I've been better." she said, the smile plastered on her face faltering.

He noticed.

"You wanna talk about it?" he asked, his smile also faltering.

"I.. I kinda make the guy I like upset."

She heard his sharp intake of breath. "Ouch." she chuckled weakly. "Do you want to apologize to him?"

"Of course I do!" Marinette exclaimed, flabbergasted. "I can't have him hate me forever!"

"I don't think hating you is possible, Mari." he said softly.
