Soraya shut her eyes praying that this was only a dream.
"O my God, I'm going to die." She murmured.
He scoffed, "What an idiot."
Soraya almost dropped dead at the sound of his voice, chills ran through her as she could feel her hands shake. "Please just do it already, kill me fast."
"I'm not going to kill you." She heard a softer voice say. She peeked only to see the same boy she had seen at the window. His black messy hair and icy blue eyes but that's when it struck her that they were the same person and this time Soraya didn't close her eyes or stay put, she screamed and ran out. She bumped into Apple as they both fell.
" The fuck is wrong with you?"
"You-you don't understand." Soraya stuttered making Apple look more confused.
"Are you high?" Apple asked as she tried studying her.
"No! God no. you still have your pepper spray right?"
"Yeah..."
"Let's go." Soraya dragged Apple to the toilet barging in. Apple looked around and saw nothing this heightened her suspicion on Soraya.
"You sure you ain't high?"
"I-I swear there was a boy" she replied flustering her arms in frustration. Apple only sighed and brought out painkillers from her bag to give her "here "she gestured at the pain killers, "it would help!"
"Apple, I'm okay"
Apple gave her a last look before shrugging off the situation." I'm going to class, you coming?"
"Yeah, just give me a minute."
Apple nodded leaving Soraya alone with her thoughts. She had questions to ask but nobody to answer. She stood staring out the window where she had seen him and saw the name that was at the back of the school wall, 'Angel', wind swiftly blew but was gone before she knew it, she hurriedly left for class barging in which made people stare at her.
"Miss Soraya, you're late for class"
"I can see that."
The teacher gave her a look of disgust then continued his writing on the board. She sat there staring at the board on things she already knew. She drummed her fingers on the desk making a soft beat. She felt a touch on her shoulder but she shrugged it off thinking it was Nasty Bob. She felt it again then turned around to see him, the window guy, he smiled then whispered "You called?" at that very moment, Soraya Coleman blacked out.
She woke up on a hard bed in a white room to a very worried best friend sitting on an uncomfortable-looking chair. "what happened" she asked groggily. "You're asking me that question? Soraya, you blacked out in the middle of math class. look I don't know what's up with you and- "Apple's voice cracked betraying her scolding, "I'm just very worried."
Soraya laughed making Apple glare at her, "It's so weird when you're sentimental" Apple sneered then replied, "It's going to be the last."
"Let's get to class."
"Nah, you're going home for the rest of the day," Apple said handing her bag to her. Soraya pouted but eventually gave in and left.
She came back to a once again, silent house. Sighing she removed her shoes and went up to her room. On her way, she looked at the fridge like she always does. 'No note' she thought then continued walking. She laid on her bed and closed her eyes, remembering the events that happened, especially her dad's blood-stained face telling her how much he loves her; tears began to spring from her eyes, but she wiped it immediately. "Fuck thinking hurts" she muttered standing up to go to her dresser. She got her cigarette box hidden under the pile of clothes in her drawer. Something caught her eye as she looked at the box, there was an inscription that appeared.
'Angel' she whispered.
Her heart froze when she heard a movement behind her, she slowly turned and there he was again, the window boy.
