"Do I look like a tool?"

"No?"

"Well, there you go."

He rolled his eyes, "why do you make things so difficult?"

"Me? I make things difficult?! For fuck sake I don't even know your name."

"It's Angel."

Soraya narrowed her eyes at him, her brain calculating. She pushed past him and ran up to her room. She opened her drawer and took the box of cigarettes she hid under her undies, she checked for the name engraved on it but did not see anything.

'Shit,' she whispered, sitting on the floor with the box. The name rang in her head, she has heard it before. It was just at the tip of her fingers but couldn't pinpoint it. The name slipped from her mouth and there he was, seated cross-legged, smiling. "If you were smart, you would have realised the reason why I just appeared?"

"God, you're so annoying."

"Then you haven't met yourself."

Soraya glared at him, "for someone who needs me, you have quite the big mouth."

"If you want me to get out of your life, you have to help me ascend."

Soraya chuckled, 'this has to be a motherfucking joke' she thought.

"I do not know how to make people or whatever you are ascend, and what does your ascension have to do with me?" Soraya asked.

"I don't know", Angel said. Soraya's eyes twitched, "you-you don't know. You showed up at my school twice and now you're in my class and you don't know?!" Soraya yelled.

"Well, when you say it that way...", Angel said, "but you have to help me...please."
Soraya heaved a sigh, "ok, but you have to tell me everything."

"I can't do that."

"So how do you expect me to help you?"

"By just following my instructions," Angel said.

Soraya walked around, arms folded in deep thought, "I need a break."

"That's not a problem, I need a break from you too."

Soraya glared at him wishing he could just drop dead. She gave him her best fake smile, "Please leave." She gestured towards the window.

"Really? The window? Soraya c'mon"

Soraya's eyes widened at the sound of her name. she took a step forward about to ask how he knew but he disappeared at that instant. Her phone rang snapping her back to reality. She picked it up to see the ID, Mum.

Her mum.

Her very Samoan mum was calling.

"Soraya, o oe ua lelei pele?" her mother said, worry laced at her voice. Are you ok darling?

"I'm fine," Soraya said, her voice cold.

"Are you sure?"

"se a le mea ua e fesili mai ai e te le popole" Soraya spat. Why are you asking not like you care?

"That's not fair. I try hard for you." Her mother yelled but her voice broke betraying her.

"If you truly cared...You would have been here with me but you chose work over your daughter."

"Don't accuse me like that you know damn well how much I care about you."

Soraya chuckled, "then it's high time you prove it, have a nice day mother." She said before cutting the call.
